But he wasn’t the best at either. He was in the the top 5 or so, but not the best.
He won the awards for being the best at those positions. So, by that definition, he was the best.
Anyone calling him mid at either position is a moron. He had more catches and as many TDs as Marvin Harrison did last year.

He's a very good WR and it's also not a great WR year.

Well, Harrison shouldn’t have won it last year either. Odunze, Nabors, and Franklin- all had better stats. This year Nash (SJSU) had better stats than Hunter who doesn’t even make the top 5.
As for defensive stats, he is no where near the top. Statistically he wasn’t even the best defender on the team.
Let’s call it what it is, the press wanted him to win it and he did. Jeanty should have won it, but he didn’t have Prime out there selling him.

This is something people don't understand.
The Biletnikoff award has only gone to P4/5 guys in the last quarter century. So with that in mind - Hunter was 2nd in the P5 in receptions, 3rd in receiving yards, and first in receiving TDs. He was deserving of winning the award this year. In most years, though, he would not. But he was worth this year and combined with being the best CB in the country made for a very deserving Heisman win.

The dude is magic with the ball in his hands.

The award doesn't simply go to the guy with the best stats. That's a dumb argument.
Nash is a a group of 5 guy, and they haven't won the award since the 1990s.
If you think defensive stats determine how good a DB is you don't know shite about football. Minkah Fitzpatrick didn't lead Bama in any stats in 2017 when he won the Bednarik and Thorpe awards.

You should know better. We've had plenty of great defenders who were no where near the top nationally in stats. Stats do not tell the whole story especially on defense and especially for DBs.
For example a few weeks ago when the Broncos defense gave up almost 500 yards passing and Surtain also had zero INTs. Yet he still had a solid game even though his base stats weren't noticable.

Whatever you do don't blame the billionaire tech bros and owners of media conglomerates for any of this though. God forbid we hold any of them accountable for the immeasurable damage they've done to society.
The United States use to have people who conceived of freedom in terms of ones ability to sustain themselves but now it is mostly about what you buy. We are free range slaves around here these days. I think we're all guilty of this mentality to some degree but it is only getting worse as young people soak in a society more entrenched in that conception of freedom.
This is why you have Karens on one side who expect to have their arse kissed for spending their money. They think their freedom is their ability to spend and want a luxury experience at all times. Additionally that is why you have disinterested service sector employees on the other side because they are underpaid and can't be bothered to have ownership over their own work. Once you start seeing how it all ties together, you start sounding like Charlie Day doing the Pepe Silva bit on Always Sunny...but I see the connective tissue everywhere now.

Exactly….want to know why no one is correcting the NiL BS….because it is financially beneficial for schools and conferences as well as the players!!!! My support is finished!

I've never seen so many Travis Hunter HATERS!
Travis Hunter would start at any school in the SEC and he would be the best player on the team and at both positions (WR & DB)!
There was nobody remotely close to that man this year...not even Jeanty! What Travis Hunter accomplished has never been done in HISTORY!
He was flat out the best corner by a wide margin....Without proper technique. He was the best wide receiver...Without proper technique!
He shut down Tet McMillan (Arizona)...some claim he's the best. One on one with no safety help lol...

Not a hater, I think he is a phenomenal athlete. I just think Jeanty was the best player in college football. Of course, I don’t have a vote on any of the awards.

Talking about Mabakwe wanting to play on both sides of the ball and the guy who won the Heisman doing it

This simply isn’t true and I’m not a hater. Best receiver? Best CB? By a wide margin he isnt
