I think most of your info is spot on or close. Thins change after being told a couple times but thats with anytime multiple people are involved

Lol keep the rage going. You make a snarky comment but I can't reply or I "name call" or "don't play well with others". Pathetic.

He is an EE and made a firm statement that intends to keep to his commitment.

It really seems like this is best for Kiffin and Bama. I wish I could be a fly on the wall around there. For Kiffin not to get an extension like everyone else, just seems weird. Especially if everything was going smoothly. Hell, maybe I'm reading too much into everything

Kinda makes me wonder if Saban went straight to Lane after being asked about a possible move. It went from Saban saying he hadn't heard about it to rumors coming out that Kiffin was leaving Sunday. The timing just seems weird.

Aren't other schools supposed to ask for permission to interview other coaches etc?

Actually I have never said anything about your info and have told you before I enjoy you bringing it. Never was one of that crowd that called you out just having fun because you seem to be raging.

Sort of pathetic you who claim that you seek no fame or glory are getting so hostile over nothing. It is just a board and nothing more

The coaches, staff and analysts are allowed to talk at halftime. Sarkisian is certainly allowed to give things like stat charts and such to Saban, Kiffin or anyone who is not a player. This is basically what his job is in fact. He just can't talk to players or call/suggest plays while the game is in progress.

Yes, analyst chart and breakdown film.

The crediting of him for the half time adjustments is outside his realm of responsibilities. And I know you didn't say that, but that was what my point was directed at.

There is a limitation to what he can contribute in his role as an analyst during games. He was more free to do so from his couch calling Kiffin like he did last year than he is now.

Wasn't referring to you.

I don't care too much for most insiders in general, because I've caught a few red handed in situations here now squashed,

I have no quarrels with you, I take it all with a grain of salt...

I'll believe all this shite when I see it, other than Saban telling Lane to gtfo, I don't see him leaving for anything other than a head coaching job.

Much less a shite situation at LSU.

I have no idea why Kiffin would want the same job at LSU, seems like a major step down.

Regardless, I knew when Kiffin was hired his tenure at Alabama would likely be short.

He was either going to do bad and get canned or do good and get another job. 2-3 seasons was about his maximum at this position regardless IMO.

Kirby was actively recruiting before the NC. Pictures of him in GA gear with recruits in their home confirm this. He had already mailed it in.

My gut is that Saban isn't going to tolerate that bs anymore. If a coach is gone mentally then they need to be gone physically especally if they're already hired with another SEC school prior to the playoffs.

Who knows. This situation seems extremely fluid. Nothing in this thread is shocking really.

We all knew the following:

1.) People have talked about LSU going after Kiffin for weeks.
2.) Houston would go after a big splash (big for them). In the past they've hired an OC that was on the best team in the country a la Tom Herman.
3.) Everyone under God's blue skies has thought that Kiffin wouldn't stay past this year.
4.) Kiffin has always been a toxic coach.

So was Jim McElwain when he took the CSU job, so was Tom Herman when he took the Houston job, and so was Nick Saban when he was the DC when the Browns were in the playoffs and he had taken the MSU job. You gameplan/practice during the day and recruit for your new job at night.
