Some of you may have already seen this, but I just did and found it pretty interesting to consider. From 2 months ago.

I hope Toshiba sticks around long enough to be our DC after Pruitt takes a HC job. Pruitt will only be here a couple of more years I think.

Joel Klatt is Mr. Hot Take.

That's not exactly true. He just can't coach players or call plays during game. It's in the rulebook, black and white: quote: (a) Provides technical or tactical instruction related to the sport to a student-athlete at any time; (b) Makes or assists in making tactical decisions related to the sport during on-court or on-field practice or competition; or (c) Engages in any off-campus recruiting activities. He is considered a coach if he does any of the above things.
That's exactly what I said.

So then you understand that he cannot make or assist in "halftime adjustments"(i.e. tactical decisions) under that rule, it's still game day participation.
As that's what the poster from BOL is inferring, which is a violation under NCAA rule...

Hey, ya'll keep this on the down low, we'll be alright.

Maybe Kiffin was relieved of his duties at halftime...Sark was formerly hired. Then they switched it all back at the start of the 3rd quarter. # of coaches never actually changed. :)

How much coaching experience did it take to come up with, "Hey, their defense has been on the field for some 20 odd minutes already. Might ought to run the ball at them now."?

Apparently more than Lane has acquired.

How likely is it that the poster doesn't know what tf he is talking about and is just trying to make it sound like Sark is a genius and a real reason for the success while throwing shade on Kiffin, who he (and everyone else) knows is on the way out?
I think the guy is just making shite up

Was initially my point

I would just like to point out my original post was directed more at the validity of said "insider", whom often enjoy adding unconfirmable "tidbits" to make their info look accurate.

Oh I'm not making any claims one way or another regarding the veracity of some Internet poster. I'm just pointing out the rule, which a lot of people seem to misunderstand. The coaches, staff and analysts are allowed to talk at halftime. Sarkisian is certainly allowed to give things like stat charts and such to Saban, Kiffin or anyone who is not a player. This is basically what his job is in fact. He just can't talk to players or call/suggest plays while the game is in progress.

This is the reason people who know anything never want to post. Folks, this is a fluid situation, see post 1 of this thread. If Lane has a shot at Houston or gets it, I will know. As of now he would take that over Lsu. But nothing is in stone. I'm reporting what comes out when it passed.
People still want to point fingers and say he's trying to be an insider when I've clearly proven it to be the case and I don't care about fame or glory. I think you guys need to accept the info and move on. Throwing stones every single time something is said. It's old now. Admin please shut this thread down.

You sure seem to get upset when people doubt though.

You and your little collective of assholes sure love making jokes but hate when wrong. This shite is getting old it's nothing new so I don't have to stay calm over anything.

We weren't talking about you unless you are the one who said that Sark made all the halftime adjustments, which would severely undercut the value of the OC who has done a good job for the most part.
Appreciate the input you bring to the site.
