Look, I know Bama will never be perfect, but the kicking game is, and continues to be, well below even average.

2/4 on extra points - many short kickoffs too.

Punting is just a little better - only a long of 36 with none inside the 20, usually kicking on a short field. At least he gets them off quickly.

Waddle was even shaky on returns. Had one return for -3 yards and juggled many fair catches.

If this is what we have to trade in for soul crushing dominance in every other aspect of the program then I'll take it.

I'm at peace with it now, it just is what it is.

2 of his 4 punts were inside the 20

1st qtr, 9:48 left : 34 yard punt, touchback (should have been inside the 20 if our guys had looked around)

1st qtr, 1:09 left : 32 yard punt, fair catch at LSU 18

3rd qtr, 10:41 left : 29 yard punt, fair catch at LSU 11

3rd qtr, 1:41 left : 36 yard punt, fair catch at LSU 21

Yeah, I thought the new punter did fine.

Kicking is maddening. Bulovas takes over, outside of Arky has kicked well, and now we can’t get the snap and hold down.

We have missed six....SIX extra points this year. Most teams don’t miss that many in a decade. That Hoover kicker can’t get here soon enough. Our new punter is just fine.

The kicking this year is literally the worst I've ever seen. Imagine if we actually had to try and make a bunch of field goals like a normal season????

Nobody misses 6 XPs. Just embarrassing.

Mac was just not good at holding, we need to get someone else or he improve. Both were his fault.

He may start laying turds this weekend, but Bulovas has been just fine since he took over.

The kid from Temple just flat missed all kinds of kicks but Bul has been reliable. He is 9/12 (75%) on field goals <50 yards - with 2 of those 3 misses coming in the Arky game. Going into last night he was 47/48 on PATs with the only miss also being in the previously mentioned Arky debacle.

The first failed PAT last night was a bad snap and hold. Unless the kid from Hoover can snap it, hold it, and then kick it he would've had the same outcome. They didn't show a replay of the second one, so I'm not sure what happened but live it looked like a straight up the middle block by LSU.

I'm just at the point where it doesn't fvckin matter. The expectation level is literally down to make XPs and make FGs inside 30 yards. We seem to have found a bare minimum expectation punter, so it's time to find a holder/kicker combo who can consistently do that.

Oh I agree it is still an adventure in terror. I just wanted to point out that when he gets to actually kick it cleanly Bul hasn’t been terrible.

Keep those goofy goobers away from Tuas left hand.

IDGAF if Bama misses every XP the rest of the season, just keep those goofy goobers away from Tuas hand.

In all seriousness, with the offense Bama has going for 2 each time could actually be a profitable strategy.

Can we at least let a walk on hold the snap? Baker's son?

Believe it or not, we likely will have a close game at some point this season. It may not come until UGA or even the playoffs but when it comes, stupid crap like missing extra points could be the difference. Hopefully they can get that junk figured out and at least get back to making extra points and super short FGs. I long for the day we have just an above average kicker. Not an All-American, just better that mediocre.

Like making a last-second field goal in a Natty? When will that ever happen? Um, er . . .

Thank goodness for Tua.

The holder was the problem last night. Both snaps hit him in the hands and he bobbled them both, throwing the steps and timing of Bulovas way off. Heck! When I was there as a walk on, we had a guy there by the name of Jeff Wahl that was Phillip Doyle's holder. Dude was 5'6" 150 tops but he had the best hands of anyone I had ever seen.

If for some reason Bulovas does go full retard now. One of my son's former teammates is currently in school there but hasn't ventured over to the Mal Moore building yet! He was our school's place kicker and a 3 year letterman wing/striker on the soccer team. He has been hesitant to try out because he is good friends with the kid from Hoover.

Ive given up. If we ever have a walk off winning kick I'll miss it. I go get a beer or take a piss break once the personnel come on the field.

I went to the bathroom during last year's missed in the UGA game assuming we were going to OT.

Why is he hesitant? He's already in school. He'd be shooting for a walkon spot at first. Wouldn't affect the Hoover kid at all.

We have a ST coach now, arguably he isnt earning his salary given we have regressed in Special teams, even defending the kick off when its been returned has looked shaky.
