I didn’t post tonite. Because I’m usually negative and I didn’t think the board needed that but…Roll fricking Tide! Three in a season on big blue. Wow, I don’t have anything negative tonite. Jarin played his arse off and Reid got some mins. Sherrell showed out. Mo showed out. Mark was mark.

Oats talked about him before this. Had some expectations. It just looked like he was in mire control of himself tonite. Leveled up after he hit a couple of shots

It’s gonna be tough. I think Florida is the best team in the country. Gonna have to defend and rebound well but we are also gonna have to make shots to win

Yep, it’s why I wasn’t worried about playing KY a 3rd time when the bracket came out. We own them right now. FL takes away what we do well, especially on the boards

Who is a good matchup against Florida? Nobody. They're a really well balanced team that's peaking. But they've lost to way worse teams this season. So while very good, they're not an 800 lbs gorilla with a chainsaw cock. Playing like tonight, we can hang with anyone. We just can't play like pussies, especially in the post.

At the top level in any sport it is about matchups and how well you can cope with the bad ones. Florida does a good job of making us wrong on defense and has outworked us on the boards the last few years. I think Alabama can beat them but we need to shoot a high percentage on 3s. Their ability to limit us to one shot on offense means we cannot afford a 30% or worse team 3pt%. We need something slightly better than our season average. We would’ve won the last game with season averages from FT and 3pt fyi.
I’m focusing on offense because I think they really give us problems structurally on defense plus they’re just faster and deeper at guard.

Actually, Mizzou is a tough matchup for them. If they were fully healthy today and not playing their 2nd game in 2 days, that game would have been a lot closer. Mitchell being out and the extra game hurt Mizzou big time (Mizzou beat FL in Gainesville)
