I think that’s where having 3 of our best defenders with our 2 best shooters. I’ve seen Holloway also play decent D.
Philon is way better defensively but has bad court vision the last 10 or so games, can’t shoot, and can only impact the game with drive layups

He’s an AAU player right now.
Absolutely lights out as a shooter, zero effort defensively.
It’s not an exaggeration to say he’s one of the worst defensive players in the country from an efficiency standpoint, his rating is basically zero which is almost impossibly bad.

Have you watched the last ten games? Philon played well against Kentucky, Auburn and Missouri. He’s also our best defensive guard. He’s been in somewhat of a slump because of injury but he’s been good the last two.

I’ve watched every single game. I watch him drive the lane and miss wide open teammates to throw up a circus layup or circle all the way back out and reset. Hes never looking to pass.
He is our best defensive guard by far but he isn’t a threat from deep and doesn’t pass to open teammates.

I guess you and I view it differently. To me he’s definitely our best passing guard. He opens up the offense so much as a facilitator.

I’m a big Philon fan. I was begging for us to go after him back when he was committed to Auburn. He started out hot and I think he has a ton of potential but he’s hit a wall at everything aside from being a driving scorer.
