Now we need a revamp of the S&C program.

He’s going to be real mad once he stops staring longingly at his pin ups of Kiffin and Cignetti.

With recruiting less important, i.e. money and transfers, we need an OL coach that develops for the pros. Who cares if he is a average recruiter. The best in the business is Bill Callahan. Get him and you get a free disc brake pads.

This is more hopium than reading the tea leaves, but it's so interesting that Mizzou VERY recently hired a guy who is a 30+ year veteran that has coached with their new OC at multiple stops to be assistant OL coach.

Just feels like they're expecting it

I'd prefer we get one that develops for the offense we run in Tuscaloosa.

Anyone heard of a time frame on a hire? Thinking the longer it draws out that he may be waiting on someone in the NFL.

I don't have any inside information, but I imagine the hire is likely to occur pretty soon, otherwise there was no reason to fire Kap right now when his contract runs through the end of Feb, the portal is closed, and Spring camp doesn't start until March.

Give me Stoutland as best in the business. With that being said; I have no idea who CKD will hire.

BOL is mentioning Adrian Klemm as a name to watch. And it’s likely Alabama makes two hires for OL.

Two o line coaches plus Grubb used to coach O line and we brought in a ton of linemen and Tight Ends.

If we can’t block next year I may just join a monastery.

I think hiring an OLC and an assistant or hiring dedicated interior and tackles coaches (Cristobal and Key did this for a year or two in the mid-2010s), makes a ton of sense.

I'd be fine with this only if the other OL hire is the "name".

He has a reputation more for recruiting than coaching. Last 2 NFL stints didn't go well and wound up helping coach LBs at USCw as a favor from Rob Ryan...

DeBoer isn't going to be able to run the exact offense he ran at UW. He's going to have to shift to having more power run in his scheme. He's not in the PAC 12 anymore. Michigan exposrd in the championship game what gives DeBoers offense fits, and thats physical defenses. Every physical defense we've faced has given us trouble, even the games we ended up winning.
