Joka, I love your energy, guy. But this statement - No. they were good enough to win. This wasn’t phenomenal defense.
Your second post though is all facts. Terrible eye discipline and setting the edge is still sub par. Domani Jackson is good in coverage but that dude doesn’t want to play the run. At all.
But bitching about shite can be put off to another day. RMFT and huge win. Our defense, offense and coaching staff came up big when it mattered most. They did NOT fold on the road and I love seeing that.
If Wommack isn’t replaced, at a minimum, he needs help.

They played amazing in the red zone tonight. Problem is that isn’t sustainable. And it will probably show next week

The D got it done when it counted. You can’t discount the result.
Wommack should still be feeling the heat. If he can’t figure out how to get a basic run game stopped, we’ve got big problems with the games ahead. If they can figure out that side of the ball just a little more, this team is dangerous.

We won tonight on the road with Keenan at 75%, Russaw out, Smith ejected and Beamon out.
UGA had a top 6 FEI offense coming into this game off a bye at night at home.
Giving up 21 was a miracle, the defense deserves a ton of respect despite the warts.

Nah, I actually thought it would be a tough/close game.
They had two drives in the 4th quarter and one drive started in the third quarter. So let's say they had 1.5 drives in the 4th quarter. That's pretty asinine considering they ran for 227 yards and gained 7 yards a carry.

Yeah I get it they won but the defense is still arse and the scheme isn’t going to work in the SEC. The scheme will cost us at least another game this year because guys are out of position constantly. Hopefully Kalen sees this and makes a change. I think strength and conditioning is almost as big an issue. It wasn’t as noticeable tonight because we were +12 on time of possession but if we get into a game where its equal or slightly negative for us we will be in trouble. UGA’s defense never really got visibly gassed with huge time differential.

By the way, Keon Sabb had a fricking AWFUL game. Bray, a safety in the box, had the most tackles with 9 and a FF.

In 2020, we were able to win the title with a Golding defense. To get there, we needed two games (Ole Miss and Florida) where the offense had to score every possession because we were essentially unable to force a punt over those entire games. But the offense got it done.
To win a title, Bama needs better rushing offense and rushing defense.
