Can we not call an intermediate pass? It’s either a screen or a 40 yarder.

Literally 14 points came off of Milroe’s picks. I can’t even blame the defense when they start in the redzone and have to play 80% of the damn game because we can’t get a damn first down.

So you’re saying the qb has been playing absolutely horrendous and the head coach still won’t yank him.

At what point does that fall on the head coach and not just the Qb?

I get that it’s year 1, but come on. The honeymoon period should be over by now.

I said this in the game thread. Deboer was handicapped with Jalen as QB because "he has the team". If he has any aspirations of staying in Tuscaloosa and not going back to Fresno state, he knows what he has to do.

Jalen has been disastrous for Alabama.

He isn’t the reason our overall team scheme has been horrendous.

The scheme hasnt been horrendous. The team is shorthanded and struggles against physical running attacks. They need better players

We can’t rotate in other 5 stars on DL like we did before… simple as that. If a kid isn’t starting, he’s leaving. Oatis hit the portal mid season

It’s the shitty nature of the game now. Coaches can’t coach. They have to be perpetual sunshine pumpers and let players call the shots.

Milroe

DeBoer started Milroe and kept him in this game after 2 INTs and a pathetic performance. It’s on Kalen.

I'm absolutely down with DeBoer has been coddling Millroe.

I'm very disappointed with this staff although I'm not ready to throw DeBoer overboard yet.

But I will point out to the folks who played football 30 and 40 and 50 years ago, and are wanting coaches to do what they did 30 and 40 and 50 years ago and show players who the boss is, the reality that a high school student who has never played a down of college football has just been gifted $10.5 million, some have said as much as $12 million, by I think it's the fourth richest man on the planet Earth (who's worth 12 figures) to play for a certain school.

There's a reason Saban said, "I'm out of here," after last season and why moving forward nobody will probably ever coach as long as he did.

Yep. No more hardass coaching in the top tier programs. That’s why some of the lesser programs are getting better because those players aren’t prima donnas. They’re coachable and don’t threaten to quit. We just have to get it somewhat fixed before we become FSU.

I'm in a fuss with someone on another thread as to whether Vandy is actually good or not.

I think they're good and one of the reasons they're good is because they're hungry and not prima donnas (and having a better QB than we do helps a lot).

Team not prepared.
Coaching wasn't good.
O line wasn't good.
Qb was awful.
Defense not physical enough/out of position.
Punter sucked.
Refs sucked with the worst call I've seen in my life probably.

This team is soft, weak, and undisciplined. Look at the penalties, especially at the wrong time, or the actions of some like Moore.

Also, some on here are talking about how much talent is on this team. Is it really that talented??? Malachi had been nonexistent for 2 years. Milroe not a good qb. O line talks big, but isn't very good. Lbs aren't special. Nothing impressive in db's. The only real talent is Williams. I just think the talent may not be that great.

And lastly...i think the state of this whole team can be summed up with Milroe, being a captain and supposedly leader, throwing an INT, partly because of the receiver not blocking but he also didn't look, and he chewed the receiver out. The Milroe flat out throws a terrible INT, and instead of making the tackle, hitting him out of bounds, pushing him, anything!! Milroe tried to trip him. He tried to trip him. And that's the Leader of the team?!?!? There's the problem.

Can't disagree with a thing you said.

Our program across the boards was arse tonight. Just arse. No other way to describe it, no way to spin it. We were a-r-s-e.

The sooner yall realize that in this era of football, anybody can beat anybody, the better.

The days of winning 10+ games per year and average margin of victory being 25 are over.

Saban saw the writing on the wall and bowed out.

He wouldn’t fair any better than KD has with this squad.

People here still think Bama has 2017 level defensive talent. Its somehow the coaches telling them to not make tackles
