I have relatives in Germany and they aren’t happy with how things are changing over there. They aren’t happy about healthcare and they get taxed for absolutely everything. Toothpaste is unreal, so when they visit, they load up

You referring to Hampton or Bo who quoted Hampton? Bo is good people . He is not looking for clout

Love seeing the Corps in here.

Side note, this has been a good discussion thread. Thanks everyone for keeping it civil and giving opinions in a civil manner. Let’s keep it rolling. I think this thread needed to happen. A lot of people don’t realize there is almost nowhere to talk about these things. This is a good outlet.

Lol wut?

Germany’s homeless population is estimated to be somewhere from 700 to 900,000. They have a population of 83 million.

The US has an estimated 600,000 or so homeless. We have a population of 330 million.

You also have to lease burial plots. Usually a 15 or 30 years lease. If you can’t, then the gravesite is “reused”. Sounds like a regular old Utopia

Why do I have to read it again when I actually live in the community and grew up in housing projects. I know what goes on and why it goes on. I can promise the police attitudes have changed from the 80’s. I also know that us in the community need the police right now..we are losing our community to vice lords and gangster disciples at the moment. You know I lost 2 players last year and 6 students to gang violence. I didn’t lose a single one to cops. Every year I have 3-5 former students die by community violence and 3-5 current students. That’s 10 a year..

Incredibly powerful stuff. Can't imagine losing students like that every year. Man that's just heartbreaking.

I'm sorry you're having to deal with all of that. I agree that more fathers in the home is the solution, but even if there was a complete change there starting right now it could take a decade to make any difference.

It would seem the immediate solution is MORE police presence, but we have an incredibly irresponsible movement and incredibly irresponsible athletes calling for less. It should outrage everyone.

Coach Saban was leading the BLM march. Where would you put his "incredible irresponsibility?

For a guy so "outraged," you seem to be shying away from specifics here. Man up.

At the top of the list. He's the most irresponsible of them all.

Odd, I had to drag it out of you. There are a lot of Bama dudes on this forum who readily equate our football players to thugs because they want to voice their concerns and fears about BLM but hypocritically refuse to include coach Saban as the voice and leader of this protest.

Folks need to just own it. And quit trying to straddle the fence with a bunch of verbal hocus pocus.

Here’s the thing. We all know why he did it. It’s popular with the kids.

Here’s my takeaway, the kids believe in something, voiced their 1st amendment peacefully and today it’s over. Back to business.

I have no issue with anyone voicing their opinion even if it’s not based in fact at all. That’s the beauty of America.

No, we don't know that. Kenny Stabler said it best years ago, "your action speaks so loud, I can't hear a word your saying." Why put ulterior motives to what you see? The players don't seem to be questioning their head coach's motives, why should anyone else?

I'll tell you Boz, this BLM is a lot of things, what it isn't, is nearly over. We are going to continue to get a heavy dose of this stuff much in the same manner that COVID continues to be the gift that keeps giving.

You are correct about that, that's your opinion. Just hard to find all that beauty in it you speak about.

You’re way outta bounds on this statement. I find most supporters of Bama Athletics on this forum give any student athlete the benefit of the doubt when it comes to stepping over the line when their suspected of breaking the law.

Case in point just a few years ago three players was dismissed from the program for beating the shite outta of a student and robbing him of (I might be wrong) a credit card or something similar to that. One was allowed to return after a year. So yes... I would consider them thugs for such a act.

As for BLM support if that’s what they choose to support that’s fine. But by supporting BLM I assume they have researched what this organization is truly about. The leaders of BLM have made it pretty clear they are a Marxist plain and simple.

So this is where I stand... if the players and coaches truly understand and support a Marxist organization then that goes against what I believe in as a American and what America stands for. I’m not asking you to agree with what I’ve said but I hope you can respect it. Life is about decisions and very important decisions can make or break you for years to come. You have to choose wisely

I don't think that at all, so please don't speak for me. I find it pretty insulting to Saban to think that, to be honest.
