Indiana just punted down 17 with 10 minutes left.
This is pathetic and I am going to love the absolute avalanche of shite that is going to go the B1G's way because they are the ones who selected this playoff

I still can’t figure out how Sanky was completely outsmarted. He had the leverage and gave it away.

He still took Indiana of all schools to the playoff. Did they deserve it with their schedule? Absolutely not. But he still did a great job with what he had to work with.

He's like a Yankee version of dabo.

He took his whole james Madison team with him, that helps.

That Oklahoma team would beat this Indiana team and give ND everything they can take.
I don't get it. OU had a fricking gauntlet of a schedule, and everyone just acts like they're 6-6 because they suck.

Stop trying to polish that turd. OU wasn't a great team. Every other team in the SEC except Auburn took care of business with them.
Auburn looked better against OU than we did. No clue how they managed to loose. Auburn held them to less yards, less rushing yards, less first downs, lower 3rd down percentage, and 10 minutes less time of possession.
Same story with LSU and South Carolina against OU. All 3 teams held them better on defense. Combine that with poor offense performance... We looked like unprepared garbage. There's no way to spin that.
I'll get over it eventually, but CKD and staff was not impressive his first year.

Auburn didn't even play against the same QB, and they played OU at home. OU had a bye before 'Bama and spent two weeks installing a clone of Vandy's offense. Even with the struggles, 'Bama wins that game easily with halfway competent QB play.

Your comparisons are awful.

Maybe wait 'til the guy isn't saddled with a braindead quarterback before passing judgement.

What stupid logic you employ. You pin the entire season on one game, Alabama’s worst game of the year.
You ignore other games like the impressive win over UGA, the 2nd or 3rd best win in the 2024 college football season.
Or one of the most impressive road wins of the year in college football when Alabama totally dominated LSU in Baton Rouge, knocking them out of playoff contention and elevating Alabama’s chances.
They also beat #14 USC and #18 Mo and 5 more games.
How unfair and illogical to focus only on their worst effort of the year. OU’s record was misleading. They were number 28 in Sagarin’s ranking, with a top 10 defense. They played a top 5 or so SOS. If Indiana had played their schedule they would have likely won 3 or 4 games. They are a legitimate blueblood, only behind Alabama in the SEC, arguably #3 or 4 nationally, who was in desperation mode to make a statement. They were at home.
Alabama dropped ~3-5 passes to start the game which would have changed the momentum. Yes, they “should” have beaten OU. But the nature of the opponent and game are much different than many portray.
In summary, your characterization is deeply flawed. The season consisted of 12 games not 1 according to the CFPC.
The truth is that the CFPC violated their own criteria where SOS is a prime factor and gave the pathetic ACC almost as many teams in the playoff as the dominating SEC who also badly beat the ACC H2H. And less teams than the bloated overrated B10.
The B10 has outmaneuvered the SEC’s incompetent, Alabama despising, Greg Sankey at every turn. TV negotiations, playoff structure, playoff team inclusion support, etc. He has ridden the coattails of the program and state he despises to a place of prominence and power and refuses to appreciate them or take advantage of the position which Alabama has helped to create for the SEC. As long as Sankey continues, the SEC will almost assuredly remain 2nd banana, squandering her massively performance advantages.
