Yeah, I like him, but that was a pretty crap call for such a huge moment. Imagine Chris Stewart in that moment. I'm in no hurry for Eli to retire, but I do think Stewart will be great (I'm assuming he's the definite heir. If he's not the hiring person should be fired).

Chris Stewart would’ve been incredible in that moment. I hope his recent health issue doesn’t prevent him calling basketball games and becoming Eli’s replacement.

I feel like that was so unexpected after that sack, that it caught Eli and Fowler(espn) by surprise.

Eli was on the radio the next day saying he already had thought of the line in the shower before the game -- which is why it sounded boring and rehearsed.

He also added that he came up with the lines thinking how they will sound in the Bryant Museum years from now. Don’t really agree with that approach.

The call was not a good one. It was like a late touchdown in an early season romp over North Texas.

Well this will definitely add some youthful energy to the broadcasts. Happy for JPW & RJ!

I'm sure he'll grow into the job (hopefully quickly), but there's no way to say this isn't a big downgrade at the color position.

That’s a bit surprising. All Saban era guys. I thought it might be Tyler Watts.

Zow would've done a better job.

Zow is coaching Calera....JPW will be better than Watts wouldve been.I had wished for Stewart but will probably have to wait a year. I think we can all agree on being glad it wasnt Jay.Def a downgrade but JP will do alright.

I once put up 21 points on rashad in hoops. Still not sure if he knew he was supposed to guard me. We lost 81-42.

The more famous he gets in real life, the more famous I get in my own head.

I saw him go baseline on a 6’11 dude. Windmill.
