In most cases it wasn't presnap reads, the Olineman just got beat like Hardy beat Leatherwood in the Auburn game or they got confused on a game like on the fumble that got beat on a stunt. Part of this is that even though there were starters they were trying different combinations and people at different positions especially early in the season.

You post all the plays from Young that actually impressed you. I believe you may have less than 6.

No spring drills for sure but he reported and worked with the team thru summer and fall and he was #2. If you believe the backup QB under Nick Saban isn't going to get quality snaps in practice then fine.

Hopefully the guy will be solid in 2021 for The King. Who knows what we have behind him at this point. I recall when Blake Barnett was going to be the man around here until he wasn't it.

I had to google that one. You probably still miss Wallace Wade too

I"m not going to post all cause I would have to look at them all again but off the top of my head:

1. Long pass to DeVonta against UK
2. TD to DeVonta against UK on 3rd down.
3. Dropped TD by Slade against UT.
4. Handling of bad snap by Dickerson against Mizzou
5. Handling of bad snap by Dickerson against Arkansas
6. Scramble for first down against Mizzou
7. First down throw to Smith with Billingsley running wrong route on 3rd down against Mizzou.
8. He had 2 or 3 other 3rd down conversion throws.

number 3-- I wouldnt blame that on Slade. That was a rocket pass across the middle at point blank range. But it seemed to me that he wasnt put in a good position very many times towards the end of the season. 2 short runs and then 3rd and long.

I agree it was a Freddie Kitchens special with some traffic in front but it hit him in the hands. He has got to make that catch. More so it is nothing against Slade more so Young made the RPO read and then made a good throw.

I've watched like half of the Missouri game and I've already found 5.

Missouri

Honestly, I just think some of you are insane. I dunno.

That last one moving up in the pocket and throwing a dart to DeVonta is nice . The first 2 are on my list, great minds .

On almost all of them Blackledge says "Wow, great read/throw".

I just don't quite understand what I missed during the season to make us see those plays along with nothing glaringly awful and be like "Ehhhhh, I dunno, I really like this guy who has been here for 2 years and I've literally never seen make a throw in a college game better".

I think Bryce Young is going to be okay when all is said and done. If he's as talented as advertised, he will win the starting job and he will play solidly for us. He showed flashes of brilliance in garbage time this past season. Give him a full spring and summer to work out the kinks and I think he will do swimmingly in his sophomore season.

Mac Jones: redshirts as a skinny 3* freshman, looks terrible in mop up duty as a redshirt freshman, looks iffy coming in for a injured Tua as a redshirt sophomore, has one of the greatest individual seasons in program history as a redshirt junior.

Alabama fans literally weeks later: "Bryce Young is probably never going to be any good because he didn't lead us to a garbage time national championship as a true freshman backup."

Mac Jones was 5 of 13 for 120 yards in mop up duty as a freshman and ended up being pretty good. Young will be fine.

Well Najee Harris was also underwhelming because he didnt have any long touchdown runs.

Brian Robinson sucks - I don't care about broken tackles, YPC or anything. I just think he sucks.

I can't wait for all the scorching hot "lazy California kid who needs to watch some got dang film!" takes after he throws his first INT in the fall.
