Given all of his experience as a QB.
No improvement at all as a QB.
Definitely one of the worse to start and play the position at Alabama.
That bowl game yesterday was hard to watch.
An embarrassment to the program.
Michigan's best defensive players were out and it didn't matter.
Only 13 mother frickin points!!!
Why only 13 points? We've got a RB out of mother frickin position playing QB.
That 1st quarter was the worse quarter of football for an Alabama QB in our history.
Milroe gift wrapped the frickin game within the first 10 minutes of play.
As I said earlier, one of the more embarrassing Alabama games I've ever watched.

I feel like we keep saying this after each loss and it’s hard to disagree. If Michigan had a functional offense, we would’ve been down 31-0 in the first quarter….and DeBoer would’ve kept trotting gout Milroe.

Tennessee was a difficult watch. Embarrassing game.
Thankfully missed Oklahoma game due to GF's company party.
Embarrassing score and performance from what I heard.
Bowl game, especially 1st quarter vs good bit of Michigan 2nd stringers on defense was badly embarrassing to our program.

The game yesterday was bad for the program and university,... a clear break away from what Alabama stood for under CNS.

However, I would argue the Oklahoma game was the most shameful game of my lifetime. That was enough to completely change the paradigm around Alabama football for a long time. We were on life support, but I would wager that was the moment we flatlined on the table, and the program and everything CNS built finally left this world.

You really are a drama queen. You want everyone to believe this narrative you’re pushing that the program is over blah, blah, blah.

All programs have some decline after having success and in Bama’s case off the charts success that no other program in my lifetime has had or will ever have mor than likely.

Everything you just said shows your stupidity is off the charts when it comes to knowing the lifeline of a program that’s stood the test of time being the standard of winning championships in any sport collegiate or professional over the past 100yrs

This is the concerning part. He just keeps trotting the idiot out there. It’s the very definition of insanity. Doing the same thing over and over again expecting a different result.

He was going to Mississippi State but Franchoine offered him because Croyle had a serious injury during his senior year in high school.

However, he was a baseball player who got drafted late by the Cubs (I think) out of high school. He elected to go to college instead.

He was dual sport athlete in college but left the football team to focus on baseball for his final year of eligibility. He had a pretty good 2005 season from what I remember and ended up getting drafted late again.

I feel like he was one of those "old days" deals that got worked out within the AD to get a baseball player on a full scholarship. He was a passable 3QB for an SEC team but he really was a better baseball player. Obviously, the margins being so tight in football today you can't make those sort of deals. I'll never prove it but I think the combo of Croyle getting hurt in his senior HS year and Pennington being a credible SEC-caliber baseball prospect got him on scholarship with the football team.

Not even in the bottom 10.

Can tell most of you guys are under 40.

Jay Barker was so bad during the Miami game he completed a total of 4 passes to his team and 2 to Miami for 18 total yards. There were several games an all world defense won in spite of his QB play.

So one more game?

I doubt it, he never won the SEC and had a bad habit of throwing the ball way over open receiver's heads in the end zone.

That was his sophomore year. By the time he was a senior, he was a Heisman finalist.

Also don’t recall reading about Barker tripping opposing players in my copy of In Due Time.

And he was having a solid season in his junior year before injuries slowed him down and cut his season short. Barker definitely had a bad game against Miami but we didn't win games throwing the football that year. It was all about our impenetrable defense as well as our solid and consistently successful running game.

Jay Barker was far from perfect as a quarterback but he wasn’t the total clusterfukk that is Jalen Milroe. Barker is an Alabama native who loves the University of Alabama and wasn’t just playing for NIL money. He also has a national championship ring. That alone makes him better. The fact that we continue to have this conversation is proof of how divisive #4 is. I’ve never seen our fan base infighting so much because of one single player.

You're aware we went 12-2 in 2008 with JPW at the helm, right?

Yeah, Barker sucked in 92 but he was never a straight up liability like Milroe is. It’s stupid for anyone to make the comparison. For all of his faults, Barker was a winner. Even in the Sugar Bowl he didn’t put the team in a bad spot. Milroe is the biggest liability at QB that I’ve ever seen at UA and there really isn’t a close second.

No doubt. Jalen Hurts was bad at times in 2016 and 2017. But he was also an underclassman those two years. He improved and led that legendary comeback against Georgia in the SECCG. He could’ve easily sat out 2018 and not played any. But he was a good teammate. Now he’s on a potential Super Bowl team. Milroe has gotten worse (he was bad to begin with) and basically just gave no effort the final three games of the season. I think that it speaks to how bad Auburn is this year that we were able to beat them by two touchdowns despite four turnovers by the offense.

Nah - Avalon, Guillon and Pennington were worse.

Those guys were forced to start due to injuries. Thinking about it, Milroe may be the worst QB1 we've had. Danny Woodson was bad. Blake Barnett was QB1 for a half. Those three would be the worst Game 1 starters I can remember.

Cooper Bateman was a disaster against Ole Miss when he started against them in 2015. But Kiffin had enough common sense to bench him in favor of Jake Coker.
