So far, Smith has caught the ball 16 times for over 300 yards. Contrast that with his season last year where he caught it 14 times for just 128 yards. He also has as many TDs through the first six games as he did all of 2017.

Looks like we're finally using the tight ends in the passing game. I don't think we have really done that since McCarron was taking snaps at QB. If only OJ Howard had been born a little later, huh?

He looked Shockey-esque running through those Arkansas DBs the other day. Damn shame he fumbled at the end.

Everyone thought OJ was gonna be the next Ozzie, and I believe he could have reached that level if he had Tua throwing to him. Its sad that he was so underutilized while here. Love that he put up a monster performance in the natty against Clemson though, caught them completely by surprise.

When can we start talking about this offense like we do that USC squad from 2005? The numbers are there and the collection of talent may be unrivaled.

More like if Tua had been born sooner.

Put Tua on that '16 team, and we are talking GOAT. Every starter from that team on defense is on an NFL roster.

I agree. Probably the best team anyone has ever seen if Tua was quarterbacking it.

But next year, with everyone (for the most part) coming back on offense, and this defensive unit having another year to mature, we may talking GOAT again next season. It will all depend on how much the defense improves, but it should take a giant leap forward imo.

Our offense is already dominant and could even be better next season. If the defense catches up....look out world.

This team still has a chance to be the best team anyone has ever seen.

Yes. Being caught up in the current season, I don't think a lot of people even realize how insanely good Alabama will be next year, with all the returning starters and the current recruiting class.

Will probably be losing a lot of players on defense unfortunately especially if Mack and Davis leave . D line will be a concern unless young players really develop
