So we would have the two past Tennessee coaches on staff?

The way their program is burning, I’m not sure Pruitt isn’t on staff now.

Pruitt should have a standing offer to join the Bama staff whenever he's able to or wants to. Bring Pruitt back before he's fired and ends up at LSU.

Not just yes but hell yes. I’d think we could keep him for a while.

Pruitt tried head coaching, and it’s just not for him. Some people are just better coordinators, and he’s one of them. It would be nice if he came back for Saban & was our d coordinator until Saban hangs it up

I wouldn't bring him back. If he's successful, he'll be gone in 2 years to another HC gig. I'm tired of coaching turnover. I hope Golding stays for a decade. He's doing a good job considering the circumstances. It's the fans who are letting the team down.

Say what? Man, Pruitt ain't getting another head coaching job unless he goes to a mid major or a FCS school. But, Pruitt can make at least $2 million per year as a DC anywhere.

And, Pruitt needs to be the DC at a school with a STRONG head coach. Hence, Saban. Otherwise Pruitt will run over the head coach and act an arse.

Jim MCelwain being the head coach at Central Michigan is all the testament you need regarding the likes of Pruitt getting HC jobs again. Furthermore, Mike Locksley went like 2-26 at NMSt and was accused of sexual harassment by female staffers, and he's the head coach of Maryland. Pruit can get 4 more HC gigs. The bar is low.

Also, FCS or Mid-major is exactly the job he'd take in 2 years.

What you wrote only bolsters my statement. Thanks.

I doubt after the dumpster fire that he has at UT, that many schools are going to come calling for him in the near future

That's not the point. Being a successful coordinator at Bama hits the reset button on everyone's image - Saban could hire Bin Laden's kid and he'd be coaching in the SEC East in 3 years.

I don’t think so, but you wouldn’t take someone like him running the defense for 3 years? With our recent turnover of staff , 3 years would seem like an eternity plus people are moving around a lot more these days

Doubt it will happen but I would take a Pruitt led defense any day of the week

Personally, I don't think he'd stay for 3 years, I don't think his leash is that short at Tenn as I think everyone knows that's a big rebuild, and I think Golding is doing a fine job.

I see no reason to want to replace our DC. We currently have a top-10 defense in every available advanced metric of total D or defensive efficiency.

I am not for firing or demoting Golding , I am just saying in a hypothetical situation I would love to have Pruitt back
