So your argument is Pruitt hasn't had an elite defense at Tennessee, not Alabama.

My bad. I misunderstood.

But I'd rather him have an elite defense for us than someone else.

Bring him back as an analyst for the rest of this season and put him at DC for next

I'm a "circle the wagons" kind of guy. Pruitt took his horse and rode to Knoxville. frick him. Golding's my guy and I'll continue to support him. He's succeeding in difficult circumstances, and I recognize that.

Roll Tide.

We are about to find out definitively what we have with Golding as we get into the conference schedule. We know Pruitt is one of the best DCs in college football.

No. This is one example of many. No one appreciates the job Golding is doin, while hamstrung with this defensive front. Does no one understand context? Pruitt had much, much, MUCH MORE to work with.

I'm gonna cook ribeyes now.

Oh I appreciate what he's doing. I also appreciated Mike Shula for the job he did before Saban got to Tuscaloosa. It doesn't mean I'm going to ignore his deficiencies though.

You shouldn't either. I hope you don't burn the steaks.

This is BS. If they are on scholarship they are your players and you as a coach should be able to win with them. Period. This is Alabama not some division 3 school. Everyone on scholarship can play. So, Golding is going to get judged like every other DC whether you like it or not.

Dude, cfb success is related to talent and little else. If you think Golding is working with the same talent as Pruitt on the defensive Front 7, you're either blind, crazy, or both.

The truth of the matter is the majority of guys in the front 7 rotation playing at Bama now will play in the NFL. So, if Golding can't make it happen with this group he ain't shite.

I'm not going to give Golding or any other DC a pass for coaching a defense even with injuries has from top to bottom arguably the best defensive personnel in the country.

Come on man - starting 5 true freshmen on D, 4 in the front 7 where you need grown men. I don't care how talented, that's some serious lack of experience. Half of you D.

I realize that. But, where will you get more talent than Bama? These coaches get paid the big bucks for a reason.

Pruitt wouldn't qualify....we only rehab former head coaches as "Offensive Analyst"...unless he wants to coach TE's

OK but what about last year when Golding was calling the defense?

Many fans want to act like last season was all on Tosh even though we know better than that.

Prevatt, I'm not being a smartass or anything, I'm just completely ignorant to most other countries. How is the meat that you guys get? Is it better quality than the States? And how is the pricing? I feel like we are getting screwed up here

If you have a chance to bring Pruitt back then you just have to tell Golding sorry.

1.Pruitt is an excellent recruiter
2. He can develop LBs and DBs as good as anyone
3. He is very aggressive with his play calling which I love
4. It would honestly take 5 or 6 years IMO before someone else offered him a HC job(Power 5 anyways)

Make him the highest paid coordinator because he would be well worth it.

Yeah, that's not how this works. College football is a business and Pruitt went to a place to further his career. If Tennessee were actually a dominant program right now I might not feel as I do, but as of now they suck arse. If they fire him this year, I say bring him back.

And would love to bring him back on Tennessee's dime. Nothing like getting one of the best defensive minds in the business who's still owed 9 million on his contract.
