Was watching this video and thought we need to hire this O line coach.

JMO but until the jocks and socks are put away, rumors might be the best word.

Also, it appears Kalen was looking at potential WR candidates, but that position is open unlike the OL coach. Hiring a coach now would tend to think Kalen is staying.

Not saying right now hire someone but in the near future. Do I KNOW Kapilovic is out? No, it’s just a rumor at this point but seems pretty plausible.

Seems pretty obvious to me that it has to be the coaching with all the former 4-5 star recruits Bama has signed for Bama’s O line to be this erratic and at times terrible.

I also have to believe CKD realizes all this and if he doesn’t, maybe Greg Byrne strongly suggests this?

The entire offensive staff is ordinary.

Yeah but when has that ever stopped them from coming here and declaring it as facts?

If Bryne hasn't already walked into Nick's broom closet office and asked him his thoughts on Kalen and staff, then I would be surprised.

Coaches often say that evaluating offensive linemen if the most difficult position. I personally think it has to start with quick feet, but that is needed for most positions. We have too many players on offense with slow feet.

I completely get it that not every recruit pans out but I refuse to believe most of our O line recruits are just not very good.

Same for the RB position

There’s no way they’ve missed badly on almost every OT, IOL, and RB recruit over the last few years. Some of it is that. Some of it is bad coaching. Some of it is improper scheme fit

Hard to believe but it has been a persistent issue since 2021 under two completely different coaching staffs.

He has to make a change just from an optics standpoint. He can't afford to keep him and the oline doesn't drastically improve.

Not to sound too combative here but why has Alabama had to constantly go to the portal for linemen the past few seasons? And to add insult to injury most of them have been pretty spare except for Steen in '22
