I think this is my favorite win of all time

And I’m not alone.
Saban showed more joy than he ever has. So did the players in my opinion. The media has obsessed on it.
There was more drama, more twist and turns and unexpected events. There were human interest stories interwoven and interesting personalities... memorable reactions, drama on the sidelines, images that linger.
It was just a perfect storm. And it really did demonstrate why college football is the greatest game ever.
I have watched “the play” probably 500 times.
After witnessing 8 titles, this was is the sweetest for me. Even sweeter than 92. And that really surprises me. You really do question the time and the energy you put into a game and you wonder if time might be better spent in another way. Then you witness a game like this and it all makes sense.

This and 2015 are for me, because of everything those 2 teams overcame.
This game itself, because obviously. And that's saying something because the Drake return is my all time favorite.

Watched the 2009 UF game at bww in Tuscaloosa. It was a crazy atmosphere.

ODD FACT:
In my memory, Alabama hasn't had to win a national championship in ONE single play since the 1979 endzone stand against Penn State.... which was by all accounts a bloody miracle, and technically, since it was a defensive effort, it didn't WIN the game, it just made sure we kept the lead and didn't lose.
I'm not old enough to know the last time we had a "walkoff" score to win a national championship.

92 NC, over cocky assed Miami: and it ain't even close! Teague catching from behind a much faster , loud mouthed Lamar Thomas; and taking the ball away is my all time favorite play!

That was very satisfying. But it was a Beat down from beginning to end. Miami was helpless.

It's definitely up here and incredibly exciting - but not sure if it's my favorite just because getting dominated in the first half kind of sucked lol

Not really. Miami's offense was still scary at the time. We were only up 7 at the half. They had more first downs and total yards than we had. It was a beatdown late.

Wish my dad could have seen this one. He would have loved Tua even though he was the biggest Hurts fan I know. We argued all year in 2016 over Jalen Hurts. My favorite championship was 92 or 09. I was just a teen in 92 but it was my first but even as a 17 year old I was a straight up, die hard fan because of pops and my uncles. Good times.

This NC team showed a team with a lot of Character that kept playing for 60 minutes even though things weren't not going well for much of the game. Never in the lead for 60 minutes yet they won. Salute.

There is something about never having led in a game and teetering on the edge throughout, then coming back and stealing victory from the jaws of defeat on one magnificent play that makes this one special.

That is an understatement. We were getting our arse kicked and well on the way to being shutout and losing by more than 3 touchdowns.
