Man, I find myself getting dumber by the day. I didn't think he would be comfortable living in Tua's shadow but I was wrong. I also felt like he had a lot to offer and may have won the job this year with proper improvement and training. You guys were right and I was wrong but don't get use to it. It doesn't happen very much......lol.

I am no expert but I saw enough to know he was not going to win the job this year over Mac. I have no clue how Bryce will perform though.

I wish he had stayed just to give us 3 guys at QB. There was a time when being a member of the team was a big deal. Then again I am old.

I’d rather he stayed. He was the only other QB with actual playing time behind Mac. Save for Tyson’s three snaps versus WCU.

I would have loved to watch him compete this spring but these aren't normal times. It's easy for all of us as armchair QBs to pick and chose the guys we think should be starting but Lia and the others get a good look at their competition every day, one way or the other. When they pack their bags I just assume it's a very educated guess at the brand new pecking order.

Yeah - i wish we could have seen more of him. I would have loved to see what he could do. i don't think he was going to take the job from Mac and with Bryce coming in, i guess he wasn't going to get a lot of meaningful time.

I got a chance to see the 31-28 comeback against Hoover. I guess I was curious if that Lia could show up this spring. If that Thompson version of Lia ever shows up at the college level he'll be worth the price of admission.

Transfers among QBs has always been high. I imagine it's only going to get worse with relaxed transfer rules.
Most schools will be lucky to keep a decent back up for a couple of seasons

I was excited when he first signed, but it became quickly obvious that he wasn't nearly as good as his brother. I don't think he had any chance of winning the job.

Taulia looked good pretty much every time he took any snaps at Alabama. Sometimes he looked electric. I would have loved to have been able to see him in the spring game.

Regardless of his performance to this point, I always suspected he might transfer for no other reason than the closeness of that family unit.

Agreed.

Our staffs are batting 1.000 with QB selection.

I agree the closeness of that family is so strong that they want their boys playing on teams within close proximity.Plus Saban bragging about Bryce Young's talent pretty much told them who #2 is going to be.

I get being a close family but Taulia should matter too. You know he had a legit chance to win the job here. I just thought he would love to play three more years here. Maybe Bryce Young had an impact on his decision.

Maybe it’s Young too but I really think it’s because they want their family to be close together. I always felt he would transfer unless they felt extremely certain he would start.

You do realize that he didn’t make the decision to transfer? It’s his dad’s show.

Messed up. The man has two sons. Lia isn't near as good as Tua but nobody else is ed either. Lia would have had a battle on his hands but he could have won the job. Plus Sark would have gave him quality preparation should he have chosen a grad transfer in a couple of years. Lia may be ok with it but he may secretly hate it. Lia has his own career to think about and his dad needs to understand that.
