Wished I had his dads authority in my marriage .... hell with a wife and 2 daughters I don’t have much
Ditto.
Me, the dog, and the cat are the only males in the house. I figure I'm just another pet.

It’s his dad’s show.
I’m honestly glad he’s not around the program anymore

I think we have had some portion of the fan base irritated by the dad's of Barnett, Hurts and Tua. I can't wait to see how Young's or Mac's dad pisses people off.

Barring injuries, he didn’t really have a chance. He knew this and made the right decision for himself. I’m honestly surprised Tyson hasn’t entered the portal unless he doesn’t have any plans of playing at the next level. I know he’s got the DNA of a legend, but I don’t think he’ll ever start at Bama.

There’s an article that stated Galu was a behind the scenes QB coach for Tua, while at Bama. Not like at home but on campus too.

So Galu felt that A: Lia should have replaced his brother after he blew his hip out or B: He felt like Lia should he received more playing time throughout the season doing more than hand the ball off.
Maybe the staff felt like Mac was just that much better so they spent their time developing the right guy. I don't think Galu meant any disrespect by no means. Of course he thought his son was better. Who wouldn't.
ETA that I hate losing him and I know Saban hated losing him. I was a big fan and had a higher opinion on him than most that post here. I hate that stupid Chinese flu ruined his shot to start by keeping him from showcasing his skills back in April.
Option C was never on the table meaning he probably would have had spring ball to prove his worth to the staff and maybe even won the job.
Also, the unspoken reason could very much have had a lot to do with freshman phenom from California Bryce Young.

No, Galu felt without spring ball there was no way Lia would take the position from a seasoned Mac Jones and he knew Bryce Young would be the starter mext season (if Mac falters maybe even this one) so why wait.
