They can probably fit another on the West side if the path is removed. I'd imagine they'd just start on the other side if it came to it

If he manages to win a championship, replace Denny Chimes with a just-as-tall Oats statue

I kind of like Denny Chimes. Could we maybe perch him on top of it? Or have him climbing up the side of it?

Don't they have the "other" sports championship marquees near the baseball field?

That won't cut it for basketball.

Place it outside the visiting teams locker rooms at the end of games as a helpful directional device for them. The design is already done.

All I know is they better not hire the sculptor who made the Saban statue. That thing still makes me want to shite my pants every time I pass it.

If it was up to me, we would redo them all. I don't think any of them look good.

The one of Coach Saban is AWFUL. It looks like some 15 year old created it. IIRC, Miss Terry chose that for him. Personally, I think the statue should have been of him ripping off his head set and completely losing his sh*t. That's how I'll always remember him during a game. At least it would have been more accurate of how he was.

If I’m not mistaken it was a sculpture grad student in the art department, and then it was taken to Oklahoma? I think and cast… but yeah it wasn’t great.

We will make all the space we need. Just keep the championships rolling!

I think the Saban statue is a horrible likeness. But IF Ms. Terry chose it then it makes sense, because I'm led to believe she chooses his clothes and shoes as well, and he dresses in hideous fashion for the most part. Coach needs to dress in a well cut, tailored, dark colored suit with fine leather shoes. The pink & lavender coats, Bill Cosby-argyle cable-knit sweaters, loafers with tassels need to go.
