Cade Foster still holds the record for choking in the biggest game (cost us a shot at FSU) during his shite the bed game vs the cow college in 2013. 4 attempts and 4 F missed FG.

He made one that was negated due to an OL's butt-flinch. Would have been 1 for 4.

In 2008, Leigh Tiffin scored 11 points in a Georgia game we won by 11. Leigh Tiffin had 8 of our 20 points versus Florida in 2008. Verusus VT in 2009, Tiffin had 14 points in a game we only won by 10. In 2009, Tiffin had 16 of our 22 total points versus Ole Miss.

All true but Leigh Tiffin also had a Cade Foster-like nightmare game in '06 that many fans might remember more. He had a kick to win the game in regulation and missed it...then had a kick to win the game in the first OT and missed it...and then he missed an extra point in the second OT and we lost to Arkansas by 1. Don't get me wrong, to his credit, he overcame that and ended up having a solid career; but while he ended up being a solid kicker for Saban, that Arky game is still the first thing I think of when I hear his name. It's not fair, but it goes with the territory. Kinda like how Ryan Pflugner is tied to the 2000 Orange Bowl, Cade Foster to the 2013 Iron Bowl, and now Bulovas to this year's Iron Bowl. If it weren't for Tua's heroics, Pappanastos would be up there as well. Kicking is not for the faint of heart, at least not at Alabama...

I meant since 2006. Christensen nailed like 3 or 4 of them in 05

No, I'm not.

Maybe you think facts are jokes, though. I don't know your sense of humor.

His point was that Griffith missed the 50+ yard field goal attempt at the end of the 2013 game that became the infamous Kick Six return.

Ah, yes. My apologies, but I was making that post as quickly as possible from the sports-reference.com website, and for some reason, they don't have that kick or miss listed for Griffith. Don't know why.

Then you are one of those fans who thinks of only the negative and hardly ever the positive.

Tiffin was the back-up kicker and was only playing because our starting kicker, Jamie Christensen, was injured. He was a true freshman, in his first start, playing on the road in the SEC.

This will resonate with Bama fans. A freaking high schooler can hit a title-winning 55 yarder. Meanwhile...

That FG was only like 25 yards, but looking back on it, I'm surprised now that it was made.

Clutch kicks missed (emphasising clutch here)
are
2019 - Auburn
2017 - Georgia
2013 - Auburn (final kick)
A bit of a strech here...
2013 - Auburn (5:00 to go, up 7, 4th down, 13 yard line, we skip the kick, fail to make the first down)

Of course countless others that may or may not have affected the outcome

That’s the heart of the matter: if you’ve got a kicker whose track record is shaky and you ask him to hit the biggest kick of his life, you’re asking for trouble. When the guy consistently misses EPs, no kick, regardless of distance, is a sure thing or even probable. He’s shown no consistency and no reliability other than consistently being able to doink it off the upright.
Saban was in a no-win situation there. The kick is a chip shot and should be an easy make for a D1 kicker. If he goes for it and doesn’t get it, he gets lambasted for not getting the “sure thing” with the kick to tie it. So he chooses to kick it with a kicker who is erratic as hell and he misses it.
Something is definitely amiss; you can’t bring in this many supposedly solid kickers over the years and have the track record we have. They need to figure it out and fix it because we leave too many points on the field and have no confidence in our ability to kick.

Yes this is the biggeat reason. The holder is half of the equation and its really outdated to use the qb as a holder now.

I think we need to get a kicker that doesn't speak English.
For whatever Saban has said over the years must have had a negative affect on every kicker we have had. Seriously, no kicker here has been better while playing in college. None.
So, we need to go find some Eastern European soccer player from the Czech Republic or some South American hot shot and let him go.

You would be wrong...I'm no sunshine pumper but I'm an optimistic guy. Everybody remembers Van Tiffin because of the Kick...Phillip Doyle for the Kick II...Griffith is remembered for both the Kick 6 (even though that wasn't his fault), his onside kick, and perhaps his kick against LSU...Ryan Pflugner for his missed XP in the Orange Bowl...Cade Foster for his missed FGs in both the GOTC and the Iron Bowl. Point being, Leigh Tiffin, although a solid kicker and an All-American by some pickers his senior year, never had a good signature moment; yet the game against Arky was a memorable one in a bad way. As I said, Tiffin rebounded remarkably but, unfair as it is, that Arky game still stands out in my mind...

Do you remember Greg Gantt? He was one of Alabama's best punters ever and punted in the NFL...do you know what he's most remembered for? He was the punter in the Punt, Bama, Punt Iron Bowl in '72. Not fair to him but it is what it is...
