Sure.

The vitriol on this forum whenever "QB" or "Hurts" is mentioned betrays you.

I mean the level of anger against this kid is crazy. Amazing.

have just been sitting back and watching, now the popcorn has gone empty.
Jalen plays poorly in the IB, (no panic there were others helping by playing poorly - look back at the MSU game)
Jalen plays well enough to win against Clemson, but there are tons of rumors that Tua will play bigtime in the Sugar Bowl - didnt happen, was this just a ploy for CU and the opponent for the CFB?)
Jalen craps the bed in the 1st half of the CFB, Tua becomes the savior; JALEN shows extraordinary class and pose, even though we all know he was feeling just beyond depressed and shocked and abandoned. Some of the questions he was asked by the press were just terrible and the fans quickly praised Tua as the new QB.
Jalen's Dad issued his stupid "free agent" statement.
When all were hoping to see the question settled on the field at A-day, Tua screwed up his hand and is out (hmmm signs of possible issues going forward? and maybe Jalen would step up like the #2 when #1 goes down? nope, plays worse than Mac seemed to (I know against the elite #1 D and against #2 D)
Now Jalen (20 yo kid) blows an interview - but we all know and have seen how this can kill the season by dividing the team. (adding in that ESPN has been around taping everything for next week's show - that will further divide the team and fan base.) here is the reason that young'uns are not allowed to speak to the media much if at all.
Jalen is or is not allowed feelings? well, we all feel for him, but we do not "live" with him day in day out, but how the team fairs makes our day. the team loses our life is less sunny, and God is not smiling on US.
Now Jalen's mom goes all political. she should have been expected to jump in and defend her son when grownass men are dumping on his mistake. But Child, Please comparing this to Trump? next it will be a Black thing, only reason it wasnt is because Tua is not a "white boy"
This is a fan board - and it is "RANT" what does anyone expect from this board but over the top ranting while we expect that cool, never flustered QB to keep showing that even when his world is apparently falling apart around him.
I am disappointed in so many things, but trust that Saban will reign this in as well
Let's keep Obama/Trump/Clintons out of Alabama Football and please keep on Ranting.

I think you’ve hit on it. Jalen indicated he doesn’t go looking for for discussion on the QBs, but that it makes its way to him. The kid has been getting pummeled in public by everyone with a sports show, podcast, website or forum post. It has to bother him some. He’s come out everyday and done the work. I’m pretty sure it has been pretty much beaten into him that he can’t turn the ball over. Defense and special team will win the field position battle, and he’ll get another shot.
I’d bet he’s getting pressure from dad, mom and brother to transfer as well as other teams (even some of the wonderfully supportive Bama fan base). The kid seems to be normally very reserved and mature. He is probably frustrated and although he didn’t deliver the message in the best way, I bet it opens up some communication between him and the coaches that maybe wasn’t there before. It might be a good thing. I hope he stays through the year and contributes. He’s a competitor; he’s just outgunned in this against Tua.

To be fair about Blake, that narrative wasn't always the case and is more revisionist. It didn't really change for him until the first couple of games from the next season when we saw why he beat out Jake Coker. There were many people who were not a fan of him during the season and after the 3 picks in the Sugar Bowl. Now that we are further away from it we have looked at it more objectively and realized how special that season was.

Tua was prepped to play should Jalen struggle ala Georgia it didn’t happen against CU so he was never brought in. Wasn’t a ploy it was reality.

The best defensive teams Bama played exposed #2. Can #13 play better against the better defensive teams? We'll see. You remember when #2 replace #8 during the USC game and #8 never got to start again? I don't recall Blake's Mom or father taking to twitter. I do recall #8's shitty attitude from that game forward until he turned in his jock and socks. Could be a repeat it appears.

Yea, this is turning into a circus.

Only because the media, parents, and fans are making it that way.

As I said yesterday. anyone who thinks Nick Saban doesn't have control of this team just because a kid pops off to the media has been living in a cave the last 11 years.

To be fair about Blake

He averaged 50% more passing yards per start than jalen... and 200% more passing yards per playoff game.

If you're thinking it's still a QB competition you're tripping. There's no competition and that's why Jalen and his mom are upset. Jalen didn't improve in the spring when Tua was out. In fact, Jalen was outplayed by the Mack Jones.

Barnett never cried to the media about it like what we saw yesterday.

You really need to find another team... if you feel that strong about it.

I'm a black guy that voted against Trump.. but her comments were ridiculous to bring the president into it. It was a grab for attention. Its very obvious to see that she is pissed and looking for someone to blame. Im just glad its Tua winning the job and not a white kid. I have a good idea what her comment would be if it was.

The ones acting like this is why he got elected and will again. We can't preach love cures all and then spew hate and protest every other day. I figured it would die down after the election..but it has gotten worse and split the country. It has pushed me to be a independent and leave the Left. We are teaching our kids to cry when they don't get there way and walk out. This is going to make a very weak generation.

Amen. I've been jaded about politics for a long time but it's worse right now, right vs left, than perhaps ever.

No, I don't. I was actually born in Tuscaloosa (DCH), both parents went to Alabama and I was raised on campus.

Lastly, you missed the point as well because it isn't about Trump, it's about what people will be okay with when they like you compared to when they don't.

His Dad was his high school coach and she is the typical entitled sports Mom. I have seen it time and time again in youth sports. From Pop Warner through high school, Jalen was always the guy. The most athletic, the most talented, the most gifted always the starter and always the star.

Until he got to Alabama....... and now he's not the star anymore and got beat out for the job. So obviously it has to be something else.

People should go back and watch Danielson's interview from SEC Media days discussing Jalen playing the position. Danielson played quarterback for 15 years in the NFL
