I think he's played in 2 other games this year.

2? It effectively burned his redshirt because he’ll play next week.

Was curious why we did that.

He’s played in 3. And he took 2 snaps. Explain that one for me. Absolutely stupid. I don’t care about the people who say you don’t redshirt your backup. We have western Carolina and auburn left. We also have Tyson. While not confident he can throw it yet at this speed I’m sure he could hand it off if need be. Let’s hope that’s the plan for next week. Now if taulia takes another snap this season it will cost taulia a year. Stupid.

I think because Saban knew Tua was hurt seriously and knew we'd need a backup. So he got him some snaps.

Yea, two that were pointless. It was stupid.

Taulia won’t hold off Bryce Young so it doesn’t really matter. Either way, maybe we actually wait and see what happens next week and beyond before we go crazy?

He's the backup QB now, I doubt he redshirts. He needs reps.

He's the backup. No use in trying to redshirt him now

Was he ever going to be at Alabama for five years? I doubt it.

For what reason? Those two “reps” achieved nothing and to claim otherwise is laughable. “Reps” would have been much better being had next week when he could have ran the offense.

I mean, he’s played four games. He can still redshirt. Hell, he may not want to redshirt. Lot of shite being thrown at the wall here.

When it comes to redshirting? Seriously?

What the player wants is irrelevant. No one held a gun to his head and made him go out there.

The team's best interests take priority all day long, 24/7/365. The fact that some would even think that this is up for debate is downright comical.

Taulia is the backup QB. If Mac goes down, he is the starter.

Tyson hasn't played all year and isn't ready to be the backup QB.

The redshirt for Taulia doesn't matter, he will either start for 2 years and jump to the NFL or get beat out and transfer. He was never going to stick around for the 2023 season anyway.

Mac could get hurt during practice, does that mean we should start Tyson, even though he doesn't give us the best chance of winning?

Saban has always said that he will play whoever gives us the best chance of winning. If that blows a redshirt, then who gives a frick.... It's just people looking for something to be pissed off about

And it was in the teams best interest to run him out there for two snaps? No, it wasn’t. It served no purpose. It didn’t further his development. There should be a balance and the two snaps he took were pointless. Playing him for two quarters next week? I get that, but not two fricking snaps today.

I often wonder what the army of analysts and shadow staff actually do. Seems like a whole lot of details are missed. Every. Single. Week.

I agree with you. In fact, if the AU game goes poorly I think letting both he and Mac play in a bowl game would be a good idea.

What would it hurt? Give Lia more reps during the bowl preparations
