The key to avoiding disappointment is to have no expectations. With two losses already, and probably another 1-2 looming, I am freeing myself from anxiety about the football team.

Honestly, there's not much left to say. We know who this team is now. The question is really how the coaches and players respond to the heat.

Penix and the 2 first round receivers were arguably the MOST talented passing trio in CFB. He's looks really good as a coach when he doesnt have to actually coach. Grubb, his lifelong OC until this year, won those games with playcalling. Coordinators win championships and close games. Situational time outs and decisions( going for it on 4th down, etc.) by the head coach have a lesser impact on the outcome than playcalling. He'll get some good Coordinators. These jobs are attractive, well paying gigs in the best conference that springboards Coordinators to lucrative HC positions. We just have to ride with these Coordinators for the rest of this year. Hopefully Wommack leaves for Southern Miss and we can lure a good OC here for next year.

How much of difference would Grubb have made? I’m thinking some but still have the losses.
If they are keeping Milroe in they need to change protections and plays in the helmet before the 15 second cutoff. Whatever he was barking down the line at 5 seconds in Tennessee was just nonsense.

After the Formby comment I really just want to rewatch the game after finding out the outcome. It’s probably better for blood pressure 
Last week probably got most of our complaining out but if Simpson still doesn’t get a snap and this offense sputters I’ll bet there’s quite some stuff during/end of game

They way I look at is that DeBoer has given me an extra 4 hours on Saturdays. Last week, I was using the chainsaw, cleaning fence rows before the half. That makes acceptance a little easier, even if it's mental gymnastics.
I've always heen a nervous game watcher but with a CNS team, you knew if there was time on the clock, Bama had a chance. Not really true anymore.
That all might be as much the result of NIL & unlimited transfers as it is CKD and crew, though. Who knows? CKB has worked at making himself an easy target for blame, so he gets it. He's highly encouraged to prove the critics wrong.
