Joe Burrow richly deserved the Heisman and LSU is on top of the college football world, but how good are they with an average quarterback?
Are they Bama without Tua?

Without Joe Burrow, LSU loses to Texas, Florida, Auburn and Alabama.
With Mac Jones under center, I am confident in saying we win every game - save the Iron Bowl. Alabama is an 11-1 team without Tua while LSU is an 8-4 team without Burrow.

3 or 4 loss team, which is normal for them.

I keep hearing Miles Brennan is going to step right in and they won’t miss a beat according to the talking heads. I really hope they are wrong because I can’t stand another year of these insufferable corn dogs.

Of course they're gonna say that.

Miles Brennan isn’t even on Mac jones level so I don’t think you will have to worry to much about it lol

Burrow is LSU's version of Cam Newton. Auburn would've lost at least four games in 2010 if not for Cam. Same way with Burrow this year.

LSU 2019 is Auburn 2010. Like Auburn they will regress to their mean which is typically a 9-3 team.

LSU had magic in a bottle this year. 18 returning starters, good scheduling and good injury luck. I believe this may be the worst year of college football in my lifetime. Of course, I am biased. I love efficient offense, stifling defense and at least marginal special teams . This year and last year were devoid of anything resembling good defense. I give Burrow full credit, he deserves the award, but lets see what happens next year when all the great QBs are gone. I think we will see a reset towards balance at least in the SEC. Not long after LSU fans will be lamenting Eaux's presence and wondering what happened to their rightful place at the top.

LSU without an elite quarterback is a average 3-4 loss team

I think as long as they have Brady they'll get the most out of their QB's talent. Joe burrow is completely different from last year to this year. That points to damn strong player development, not just talent.

Burrows was a graduate transfer. Special Ed will be scoping the college landscape to get the next great thing. Not sure if he gets that but he's going to be able to dangle a mercurial offensive scheme as bait.

Better than Bama fans will give them credit for. Strong running game, great wide receiver group, and a defense that can bend but won’t break (so far).

LSU, as with most schools, is largely dependent on the play of the QB.
Note that of the 4 schools in the CFP, their QBs finished all in the top 7 of Heisman voting.
We've always known that with LSU, the QB play, or lack of, has kept them down. When they've had serviceable QBs, like Mettenburger, they've competed at a high level.

Ogeron also has recognized that their lines needed to get a lot better and that is in his wheelhouse. He has recruited and coached well in that regard.

If Brennan is their QB next season they failed. They're going hard after grad transfers like Jake Bentley and D'Eriq King.

All we need is an improved defense and we beat LSU.

All Bama needed was no turnovers and they beat LSU and Auburn this year.

Bentley has already committed to Utah.

I’m hoping it wasn’t all just the Brady hire
