I'll address this as I think it's important. Using the above example, I think there's a mountain of difference between 'you are juvenile' vs 'that action seems juvenile'. I think it's very important to understand the difference between a personal insult versus insulting a persons words or actions. Additionally, I think the threshold for the qualification of 'insult' is not met by the words 'seems juvenile to me.' I hope it's clearer now. Back to football.

I gotta be honest though. It has gotten to where I don’t really want to come by here much anymore. We’ve got the thread Nazi jumping down people’s throats for not coloring in the lines. We’ve got about 10 Mr. Firesomebody guys who go all 14 year old when our team varies for a moment from perfection and refuse rationally consider that, in spite of what the media says, we DON’T just sh*t out another five star player and that performance IS going to suffer when a significant portion of our relied upon players are injured. We’ve got posters who trash young men doing something that these same posters cannot do from a physical or a character standpoint. We have the people who bash the guy who’s so filled with joy over his newly found relationship with God that he has to very kindly and humbly tell everyone he can the great news he’s found. Then to top it all off, we’ve become Facebook, where some dude goes ballistic making sure that those with differing opinions are disabused of the notion that opinions differing from his are acceptable in the world of today.
Oh, and then there is LATider incessantly screwing up the softball board with her trite and repetitive posting that “Murphy must be fired yesterday.” We’ve got it loud and clear. You aren’t happy with Murphy.
I will say this, though. We are better than tRant.

No shite. Even during the Hurts/Tua saga I dont remember the vitriol between posters I see with this Golding saga. Huddie left with his feelings hurt but that was really the only casualty. This crap I am reading between grown men on the internet is troublesome. You even have Surge saying that he won't continue to work the stickies until Prevatt is banned. I don't envy you or Boz trying to pull us all back together.
I would just like to remind everyone that posts here regularly that in the end, we are all on the same team. We are all on the fringe end of fandom and we love the Tide football program. We all have differing opinions about what led to troubles and even what led to success. We can disagree without taking it personal. The Golding debate has been nipped in the bud but try to remember this when the next hot topic comes up.
Not sure how I refrained from taking sides in this because I am usually right in the middle of the passionate debates. I love all you guys and I would love to see us come to some kind of understanding. The board just doesn't feel right when we are at each others throats.

One of the previous posters was right. I know it’s hard, but if you don’t respond to Prevatt, he can’t start his passive aggressive needling that keeps the useless posting going. Since there’s not an ignore feature, you will just have to exercise self control and leave him and his garbage twisting in the wind.
