In Nevada, a DUI resulting in a fatality is a mandatory 2-20 years per person that you killed.

What a fricking sad story.

It’s shocking especially after his best friend died in a car crash. He only lifts a three (Rod Scott’s number) after every TD.

Prayers for the family of the person killed. Horrible way for Ruggs' career to end, and it appears to be all his fault that it's ending this way.

When will people learn that all decisions have consequences? The decision doesn’t affect you alone!! Awful decision that led to a tragic consequence for multiple people. Prayers for the family that lost a loved one and prayers for Henry. He will have to live with this consequence for the remainder of his days. Being locked in a cell will provide him plenty of time to rehash these events over and over and over again.

No sympathy at all for him. Had everything, material wise, and threw it all away. Prayers for the family of the deceased. Nothing good comes from alcohol...nothing.

No sympathy whatsoever. If guilty, send him away a long time.

No sympathy for drunk drivers, but an NFL team in Vegas is asking for trouble.

Yep 0 from me. If he was drunk and killed someone. Get under the jail.

Makes that gesture seem pretty hollow now. In fact, now it just makes it look self serving...calling attention to himself. If his friend's death really had any lasting and serious impact on him, this never would have happened. Rather than using his friend's death to call attention to himself after TDs, he should have used it to change his life.

Instead, he didn't. And now he's going to prison, hopefully for a very long time. Him being a superstar at Alabama gets him no favors in my mind. He's no different than any other drunk who kills an innocent person.

He killed an innocent person. The sentence should be closer to 20 than to 2.

And the family of the victim should get every dollar he's been paid by the Raiders.

Josh Jacobs was also charged with DUI earlier this year, but it was later dropped...no one got hurt fortunately.

Ruggs had a girl with him...no way he was taking Uber. Besides being drunk, who knows what else was going on in that car before the wreck.

I'm also tired of the "college kids" excuse when one of our dumb shite players is out drinking and getting plastered. There is NO excuse.

He was reported as "showing possible signs of impairment".

I'd probably behave in a way that might cause people to question my sobriety if I just got into a serious car accident. Especially if it was clear that someone was dead. I'm waiting for more on that.

He also went to the hospital, which means they have his blood. Police aren't stating that he will definitively be charged just because of how he was acting. They already know what his BAL was.
