Dude is ridiculous. He throws ropes off his back foot and checks down. If he translates he will easily imitate what Tua has done.

He seems to be very talented. Going to want to wait and see him actually do it against SEC players before I say he will easily imitate Tua.

And Macorckle is still going to be Alabama’s starting quarterback until he ends his eligibility or jumps to the NFL.

So you think Saban sat back and watched the Fields disaster at UGA and is going to just decide to replicate it?

Hindsight doesn't make that situation a "disaster."

No coach in their right mind would've benched 2018 Jake Fromm for Fields.

Also, Fields wouldn't have made 2019 UGA all that much better IMO. They DEFINITELY wouldn't have beaten LSU in the SECCG with Fields.

I have. He looks elite as hell throwing the ball and I love it that when he scrambles he keeps his eyes downfield looking for the big play versus taking off on foot most of the time. Kyler Murray is a good comparison though Bryce isn't near as quick as Murray is. I don't think we will have to throw him to the wolves like we did to Jalen because Mac is a very capable quarterback himself. The offense will be a machine with either guy.

Please tell me y'all realize there's a HUGE difference between the defenses of LSU and Georgia of John Bosco High.

Let's please pump the brakes on this kid, he's got enough pressure on him already.

I just hope if Bryce is out there on the first game and make a mistake, that people won’t crucify him lol... Our fans can quick to scream for the backup. Our offense will be dominant next year with either Bryce, Mac, or even Taulia

What kind of mistake are we talking here?

Interception?

Fumble?

Butt fumble?

No, because Saban did not make a bunch of bullshite promises about playing time and how he'd be part of the offense as a freshman to Bryce Young.

No. I just heard from an insider at his HS that he's the greatest thing since Cam Newtown, Joe Burrow and Tim Tebow.

Don't know whether to call him California Cam, Mocha Joe Burrow or Tiny Tim Tebow.

...I'm just excited he's here.

Maybe. But, there's not a huge difference in the offense we run and the offense Mater Dei runs. And, as far as pressure there is no better proving ground for a high school QB than Mater Dei. And, Bryce is said to be the best ever to come out of that legendary school.

Here's a link to some of Bryce's highlights.

same could be said for his Oline, receivers, etc. He's dominant at the highest level of high school football, that's about all you can say. It's likely he will continue and be dominant at the next level where the talent levels on his own team is correspondingly higher, along with those if the defense he will play against

It's a tough call to start Mac for 2 yrs or start BY for 3. Pros and cons in both, but if BY keeps up with Mac during spring then I would like BY to start the season. He will have 2 games played before Georgia and that game is at home.
Not worried about his weight, he will get bigger. Same thing was said about McCarron out of HS. His size shouldn't and wont deter coaches from playing him.

I think Saban learned with Tua. If Mac isn’t performing then BY will play.

It really isn't quite the same, he will have better players who are still at the upper level of their opponents, but the defense is still scheming against him, trying to confuse him - it isn't just about having a surrounding cast that is as good or better than his opponents. He has likely had that his whole HS career.

I'm very much a wait and see kind of guy, but excited to see how much he can develop in the spring / fall.

I watched him in the all-star game this past weekend. He is good. Really good.

I don't expect him to arrive on campus and win the starting job to start the season, but if he progresses and earns the trust of the coaches I do think it's going to be very difficult to keep him off the field. Similar to Tua in 2017.

He is very good. But to say he will emulate (I assume this is the word you actually meant to use) is a little premature. I am confident we will be back to form as soon as next season. This team is reloading as it always has, we just need to stay healthy.
