I will say it again. He is not cutting it as d coordinator. Everyone knew that Burrow was going to run the ball those two big runs, also our tackling just plain sucks. We look like a Big 12 defense instead of the dominant D we are known for. We are the opposite of Auburn. Gus is wasting a championship defense and we are wasting a championship Offense.

Not looking for the Rant. I’m not trolling anyone. He is terrible. We have been confused for two years. He called most of the plays last year too. Anyone with eyes can see we have regressed with him at the helm

He's not trolling. Yes, I do think Golding has had to deal with some unfortunate injuries but the defense looks undisciplined and is blowing coverages.

He’s had ample time to show what he can do. He’s in over his head. He may be a rising star but he hasn’t risen yet. Back to a position coach for now v

We chose to go cheap with Golding and surround him with experienced guys rather than paying big money for a proven, elite DC. It's inexplicable to me because I know Bama has the money to set the top of the DC salary market.

Agree, he can’t adjust in game. But quality of defense has just gotten bad. Can’t make tackles, can’t determine assignments, etc. Bama’s defense just doesn’t have the mental aspects down.

Saban will keep Golding to avoid more staff turnover.

Maybe Saban knows other teams won’t come around and take Golding away...SMH!
I think other universities see the only way to level the playing field is to poach the top coaches from Saban causing instabilities among players and coaches.

I agree, his game adjustments are lacking. He is learning on the job, but we need someone who can run a defense. We have almost become a bend dont break defense instead of an attacking defense. I say if we are gonna get beat do it trying to pressure the qb. We didn’t pressure tonight and people were running open everywhere. It may be a scheme issue also. We may need to re evaluate our scheme.

As crazy as it sounds you couldn't be more wrong about Golding. Golding is still a hot commodity that is coveted in the coaching business. Hell, Golding could've went to Ole Miss or Oklahoma during the off season if I remember correctly.

I thought Golding adjusted well enough but I question some of the personnel decisions. We needed a more physical presence in the secondary a la Jobe and Barmore certainly should've been on the field more.

Not only that but it appears the defense makes the same mistakes over and over again.

The way to keep a top coach is set the salary bar so high.

Not necessarily. Most coordinators are always going to want to be head coaches. We were never gonna keep Smart, Pruitt, Kiffin, or McElwain when the right opportunity came along.
