I’ll leave y’all with this for tonight.

As Nick Saban said, fans are entitled to criticize, to want perfection, to be unhappy when things don’t go well. But I hope your criticisms don’t prevent at least some joy watching Will Anderson and Bryce Young on a second-ranked team.

Did we watch the same game my dude? 10 cost us several big plays by himself

How the hell do you get sucked into a lane on a fake punt like the holder is about to Derrick Henry through the A-gap for 6 yards? That shite is absolutely inexcusable

It’s more than scheme you have one player that can consistently put pressure on the qb

Dallas Turner is getting better every game. So hopefully we'll get pressure from him and Anderson. And Mathis gets pressure too. And was there a single holding call on Arky?

How did Jobe get so bad? Outside the penalties, he was solid last year. Dude looks like Savion Smith out there now.

He's always been bad.

We say the same shite every week because for 3 years, we’ve been watching the same DC and most of the same coaches put kids out there that are playing their positions poorly and half the time, don’t know their assignments. The only constants are the coaches. We have DBs that never turn and play the ball, blow coverages and give up big plays. There’s no need to rehash every position but the only ones that aren’t regressing are the OLBs.

I’ll leave you with one final thing to ponder: have you ever seen a kid play so well his freshman year that he was seen as a rising star and was a freshman AA then as a sophomore look completely clueless like Malachi Moore does? To me, that screams bad coaching.

We need to fix it and fix it now because kids are starting to notice and it’s being used against us in recruiting.

The best thing about them is how they love to deflect to players every time or say everyone is the problem just ti minimize any blame on their favorite Golding.

Anyone but Golding man! Spare Golding and do him no harm!

we are a horrendously coached defense. I can’t remember the last time we’ve had safeties as bad as the two we have now with 9, 2, and 3. 13 gets beat a lot but will occasionally make plays. 28 is really fricking bad. 5 and 14 are pretty good.

The DL stunts we run are so inefficient too. I will never understand why we make our DTs loop about 10 yards outside to rush the passer. It takes them about 6 months from the time the ball is snapped to when they finally engage the blocker.

So much confusion at all levels of the defense. God I miss Pruitt’s simplified, highly aggressive attacking defensive philosophy.

I am so fricking sick of this bullshite we have endured on that side of the ball for the last 4 years.

I hate to use the word if but I'll piggy back since you used it. Offense scored 42 points so it wouldn't have been close if the defense didn't give up 35 points.

Get off of the field so we can put the game away. How many 10-15 play scoring drives did we give up?

Certainly there are players who deserve their share of criticism, but this epic downturn in the quality of play we get from our players has occurred during Pete Golding’s time as DC. Is that just a coincidence?

It's amazing that we all know how much Jobe has struggled and Malachi has regressed since his great season last year....

Yet we shouldn't hold the DC accountable who consistently leaves them on islands in 3rd and long or 4th down situations. If these players are so damn bad why is the DC continually putting them in LOSE situations?

Blame anyone but Golding! Now the new narrative is we should be happy because this is a down year.

Yet that is false because this year our defense was suppose to be flying..

I'm not defending anyone, BUT...

Arkansas has the 6th best rushing offense in the nation (233.5 yards per game) and came in averaging 5.13 yard per carry.

We held them to 110 yards rushing and 2.6 yards per carry.

So our rush defense continues to be very stout. Should help in the SEC CG!

All of this.

We can't play man pass defense at all and that's just unacceptable but this team's been VERY good against the run virtually all season.

So if it isn’t scheme why aren’t people question the individual coaching they get? Does everything just fall on Golding or is that just the easy internet blame?

Personally I think a lot more people then Golding deserve blame.

This is not at all a defense of Golding, but the absolute first person I want fired is Doug Marrone.

I'm not concerned that the defense gave up 35 points.

I'm concerned that the defense gave up 35 points at home to a team that Georgia shut out.
