Who will be the #1 seeds in 5-6 weeks

The real question is who wants the final 1 seed? Florida, Iowa State, Michigan State, and Kansas took some rough losses today

And they don’t deserve that ranking only got it based on the last two years and the loudmouth a-hole coach

Nah, just a function of the schedule. Our at Texas game has the same schedule problem although we will have had a week off before Arkansas road game. Tuesday night game after late Sat road game is recipe for bad performance for any team, it’s why UT lost to KY at home last Tuesday after the late road game against AU last Sat. Happens every year to multiple teams.

Rylen Griffen, hope you are enjoying your NIL money.

Would he be starting for us right now? We dont really have anyone with his size and skill combination.

Add Houston and maybe Marquette. Rothstein called it earlier this week. It’s Bama, Auburn, and Duke then everybody else

Arkansas plays at Texas this upcoming week. UT likely wins that game. So we will probably take care of business against Arkansas. One would think at least. Having a five day break is big for this team. Rest, recovery and a chance to get some issues straightened out.

Depends on if you’d start him over Youngblood. But he didn’t go to a better team and he isn’t getting much more minutes

Im kinda partial to YB because he has a really good feel for scoring from anywhere. He plays like an unstoppable old dude in an open run. He uses his body really well, doesnt rush, gets his defender off balance, and he takes a high percentage shot.

But Griff maybe provides a little more defense. He is a good scorer too. No clue what the advanced metrics say about their defensive abilities.

cool to see the love being spread around for mo D. has been my favorite player on this team for most the season but with the added consistency has started to hit legend status. seems atleast once a game he makes a play that shouldnt even be possible. truly one of the smartest and toughest players ive ever seen in a bama uniform. i get the depth and the prayers of hopium on jarin hitting puberty but hopefully oats will eventually start to play him more, much more as the season really gets into the meat of things. rtr

In some ways having this great athlete who is all hustle being a bench player is probably more annoying for the opponents because they think they're getting a break but instead end up getting worked.

That could be true of almost our whole bench. Holloway isnt giving anybody a break. Reid is a tough guard and a phyiscal player. Philon is potentially a NBA guy. And Mo D is there to frick shite up and get all the rebounds.

Would be interesting to see a stat on bench contributions. I doubt many teams have a better bench.

Yeah, bringing in Mo D (and, like you mention, high energy players like Holloway and Reid) when opponents with less quality depth are either getting gassed a bit or substituting themselves is what makes us so hard to deal with for 40 minutes.

We pretty routinely get substantially more bench points than our opponent. Holloway, Youngblood, Mo D, Reid, and Sherrell is a better starting 5 than the vast majority of D1 teams have.

Totally agree about him being a spirit breaker for opponents coming off the bench. But when I see him only getting 11 minutes yesterday and in that time he wins the hard hat, has 6 rebs, 6 points, 1 steal and 0 turnovers I still want more time for him. Granted he did have 3 fouls, but man he just demoralizes opponents so much and gobbles up anything remotely close to him on the boards and he is so good at getting those offensive boards and kicking out to shooters. If we were to lose him in the offseason I would be gutted and I do think he will have quite a few suitors.
