He was probably our best player at one point this year.

Whatever his injury situation was and the decline at QB really hurt his numbers though.

Even peak offense we were never really stacking stats either.

How is Ty considered the second best QB in the conference?

Not the best QB play in the SEC this year outside Pavia.

But yeah I’m a little surprised it was Simpson. Though it would’ve been Stockton or that Ole Miss QB

Look at his numbers. For all the grief he’s gotten lately, his numbers overall are very good.

65% completion percentage
3,268 yards passing
26/5 TD to INT ratio

Clearly he hasn’t played well of late but the overall body of work is solid

He tied with the Ole Myth QB.

He had about 8-10 TD passes dropped. Probably a pick or two dropped as well.

Bernard is a great player. I was impressed with that lateral pass across the entire field against Georgia.

Lots of similarities with Ardarius Stewart. Both big dynamic play makers. The best pass from a Bama player in the first NC loss to Clemson came from Stewart not Hurts

Guy got us to the SEC championship game and playoff with one of the worst running games in the country

my question is, how is Brailsford 3rd team? he gave up 1 pressure and 1 sack on the entire year. And the sack came in a game he was playing on 1 leg.

Because we would not be in the playoffs if he had not played this year.

There are 4 other SEC QBs in the playoff and I'd probably take any of them over Ty at the moment.

McElroy had some good points on Ty. I was in the bench Ty crowd prior to hearing what he had to say. Has he been perfect? Far from it. He has made plenty of mistakes holding the ball too long and taking a sack or making the wrong read. But it ultimately boils down to not getting help anywhere. The running game averages 1 yard before contact. Georgia didn’t even stack the box against us. They beat our run game with 4 defensive linemen and when you do that, it’s going to make things difficult. He also threw out Ty’s off target %. In his slump, he’s been below the national average. There were more than a few plays he connected on last Saturday and the passes were just dropped. Until the running game is fixed, we’ll likely see similar results. And that probably won’t happen this season.
