Pretty good breakdown, imo. As far as Ryan Williams, the film don't lie....

I watched that. BRUTAL for Ryan Williams Coleman. To be honest, I didn’t really notice during the game but Brooks highlighted it and it looks TERRIBLE. Half hearted effort is unforgivable

The camera doesn’t lie. I’m hoping the staff verbally rips him a new one. Yes, he had 100+ yds receiving but the NFL notices half hearted effort. If he keeps that up, he may find himself drop to 2nd or 3rd round in the draft, costing himself literally millions.

A lot of things are a work in progress but things feel slightly better than last year overall.......As for #1, most people's thoughts on it have been expressed in another thread and its not pretty.

His film breakdown is about the best thing I watch after a game to see what happened. I wish they were longer.

Regarding Ryan’s blocking, Kirk Herbstreit brought it up last year too during one of the games. He’s amazing with the ball in his hands. Right up there with that Miami WR everyone loves. But when the ball is not in his hands or doesn’t get in his hands (drops) it’s not pretty at all

I've heard AJ McCarron criticize his loafing and poor blocking as well. This is clearly an ongoing issue that isn't being addressed by our staff.

I think it's also weird as frick that we've named one of our most low-effort, unreliable players as team captain. What are we doing?

That is my biggest problem with this staff. This staff is NOT holding players accountable for this kind of stuff.

The greatest thing that can come out of this is for this youtube to circulate to people Williams knows, AND IT WILL. Peer pressure can have dramatic results some times.......And now that The Film Guy is watching for him, there is going to be no where to hide this season because the film is always rolling.

One last thing, if his dicking off cost us a game, I hope every NFL scout pays attention and it costs him in the draft.

You dont know that unless you are in the meeting rooms.

Really does no good to come out and bash a player to the media. Is CKD bitching to the media gonna help Ryan catch the ball? That's what you are suggesting.

I remember Lawson telling the head coach what to do in the Vandy loss, on live tv and he took it. Who runs the program?

But you don't bash a player in the media for loofing, you sit them.

Don't have to be in the room to see what kind of leadership he is under. Sit his arse on the bench and play the next guy until he decides to fully commit to this program.

He's being paid a lot of money to suck and someone needs to make him understand where he is playing football at. You need to understand that as well.

The thing is that I think what Brooks Austin showed is bad enough that taking PT is the only thing a coach can do. The things RCW did in that video are the football version of something we’d call being a buddyfricker in my Army days.

I was very happy when Milroe left Bama, but I do hope this is the last year for Williams and his crew.

He plays like he is still in the 10th grade.

Dude is so talented. It's infuriating to me that he has this God given talent and is squandering it. I really hope DeBoer takes him to task over it.

What is your point? What do I need to understand? I lived in Tuscaloosa for a long time.

Man Williams blocking (lack there of) on that run play was infuriating. That’s a TD if you put a hat on that safety. I want to root for this guy hearing him talk at media days and stuff like that, but man he just seems like a cat when you need a dog sometimes.

Dropping passes is one thing, but lack of effort is something completely different.

Hoping this kind of stuff makes rounds on social media and he finally wakes up. It helped last year against FSU when some players got called out.

If that all-timer press conference from that Coastal Carolina HC isn't a perfect encapsulation of the problem here...

I do too, and it was a long fricking day for me so maybe I'm just in a negative mood, but I really don't like the fact that he had effort issues last year, they name him a team captain , and in his first game with that designation he produces a lowlight reel like that. Just feels wrong.

Welcome to NIL. They are acting like pro players , which they are now. Loaf when the play isn't to you and worst threatens to transfer if someone complains. It is worst than the pros, no contracts.

He did it all last year. Making him a team captain won't change him.
