Eli just doesn’t have the excitement in his calls anymore. I respect him a ton, but it’s time for him to pass the mic to Chris Stewart.

Can we get Chris Stewart to do shadow calls of the game? Eli is terrible. The Auburn broadcast had more excitement.

He's never been good. In the 92 game against Miami, he called Teague's strip of Lamar Thomas a fumble...nothing different than any other fumble. One of the most iconic plays in Bama history and he botched it.

Yeah. How dare anyone criticize a home team announcer for lacking something that makes for a good home team announcer?
I’ll always love Eli, but it takes more than a professional sounding voice. Ready for the Chris Stewart era.

Critic away, I’m just pointing out the obvious and trying to bring a little testosterone to this thread. Y’all sound like a bunch of disgruntled females complaining about a lack of emotion. I don’t care how emotional he sounds, just tell me what’s happening. I think he does a good job. We just stole victory from defeat over our biggest rivals and y’all complaining about our longtime announcer over “lack of emotion”. I just think y’all need to grow a set and quit bitching. I didn’t think he was bad either. I mean the guy almost just died. I could hear the hype in his voice whatever he could muster.
