Some of our boosters need to help little sister keep their coach. The knock on Bill Clark has been his offense. But, he has done a great job for uab.

If he did leave, it might be a bigger deal since players are allowed to transfer this season without penalty.
Remember, he was a big reason we got Bryce Young to commit.

Someone on tRant just posted a tweet that said Napier is expected to be offered the job.

Apparently Phillip Marshall said that Sark's demands were to high. I'm guessing that Sark asked for complete football control, and no outside interference (which the PTB on the plains would never agree to).

It'd be hilarious if he turned them down. He turned down South Carolina and Mississippi State already, so he's obviously looking for somewhere he thinks he can be successful long term and those jobs are both major uphill battles. But so is Auburn. It just has more prestige attached to it. I doubt he does though. It's honestly probably the best hire they could make.

Sark was right to ask for that given how bad things were on the plains.

Sark can do better and I just don't see him fitting the mold of the "Auburn Man". AU is a big job but its tough. They historically recruit against Bama and Georgia and with Nick taking whatever he wants and Kirby pulls in top ranked classes, recruiting is going to be an uphill battle.

Sark already turned them down. Some are reporting that no interview even happened and some are saying it did but went nowhere because he made demands that were apparently non-starters. Napier is who I was talking about. Looks like he's getting it if he wants it.

I'm glad to see that he may not be taking the Auburn job but I still won't be surprised if he takes another job before next season, perhaps out west. After watching a former 3 star qb flourish and become a Heisman contender (I think he will win it), I expect Young will stay at Alabama in any event, especially considering another haul of elite wide receivers, 4 of the top 9 in the nation.

The first demand that I would make if I were Napier (or any other potential HC) would be that I get to hire my own assistant coaches. There's no way that I keep the likes of Steele and Gardener, who apparently were undermining Gus with the PTB down there. There's no way I'd let them stay on staff, and constantly have to look over my shoulder.

This guy thinks Bama is offering Sark $3.5 million a year.

Alabama OC Steve Sarkisian turned down an interview at AU and is expected to be offered a new contract at Bama in the range of $3.5M.
LINK But he's just a regular fan so don't know where he got his info.

Mike has connections. Cecil Hurt & 247-AU have also confirmed Sark isn't interested in the AU gig.

When you think about it if he took any program that's a 3 yr rebuild it would maybe run concurrent with Saban time table plan..If you stay at Bama you have already rebuilt what your taking over from a recruiting and system stand point.Unless there another school that has less of a time it would take to turnover( doubt).
You would still most likely need 3 yrs to get all your kids throughout the depth charts.
