So Crowell didn’t scrimmage, and maybe wasn’t even there. May miss the next few practices, but expected to not miss games

He missed all spring and missed the fall scrimmage. It's going to be difficult for anyone to take reps against Kentucky or Florida state when your last live bullets were against Anniston High School.

I swear we're fricking cursed sometimes.

"Noah Rogers has looked great this Spring"

He goes down during A-Day.

"AK Dear has looked fantastic in Fall camp."

He goes down during the first scrimmage.

We need CodeName1 to chime in on the severity of Dear's injury.

Anniston High might be better coached than FSU

The QB stats went the other way. Mack had 3 TDs, 1 intercept
Russell 1 TD, 1 intercept

At least that was on another site

Guy over on BOL said this (summarized):

- Crowell in a precautionary boot.

- Dear injury doesn't look good. Another guy said it looked like his ankle got rolled up. He didn't put any weight on it and immediately went to the locker room.

- Ivan Taylor took more 1st team reps than Keon Sabb. (That's a good thing IMO)

- Keelon makes throws at a lot of different arm angles like Mahomes.

- Mack looked good, too.

- Cederian Morgan got a lot of reps with the 1s, including some slot.

We can hope for an ankle sprain. There’s still over 3 weeks til we play and that’s vs ECU.

You get the feeling if it was a bad injury then DeBoer would’ve said more than “that’s unfortunate because he was having a good scrimmage”. That sounds like a not too bad injury in my head but who knows

Bummer for the injuries. I think with Crowell missing so much time it really would be asking a lot to actually expect him to contribute much this year. I just don't love the idea of Kevin Riley getting a lot of carries

We’re going to find a way to end up with a rotation of shite at tailback again, huh?

I think this is a little hyperbolic. This year extends another 4 months from now. I think it is a little much to expect him to contribute early though, which is a shame

Say it with me: Traeshawn Brown, Freshman All-American. It can't hurt to try to speak it into being.

They've been watching both these guys for over a year compete side by side. I understand the job is open now and it's a competition, but at some point (not yet, mind you) you are only hurting the team and the eventual starter by not giving that guy as many first team reps as possible.

East Carolina won 9 ballgames a year ago. We aren't opening up with UT Chattanooga or Alabama A&M

Not saying they will be a cream puff, they return 3 starters, 1 on offense, 2 on defense

This is why I cringe whenever I hear our fans say "That's a position we can afford to have an injury at because we are loaded!" I just don't think you can ever feel comfortable with depth in today's game. You can never have enough depth in this "collision sport..."

I mean with Brooks out that makes sense although I’m surprised he’s seeing time at multiple positions.

My understanding is that they usually prefer with young receivers to teach them one spot and let them master it for the season, but with all the injuries they may be evaluating how to make things work.

Based on what I’ve read OL got whipped today.
