Dude looked heck of explosive running the ball. I say give him a few plays and let him perform.

I'll be happy if he gets a look at punt return, but somehow I know its slade from here on out.

I was waiting for him to get some playing time. Meaningful playing time.

I wouldn't mind seeing us mix in some jet sweep looks. We haven't seen a lot of that this season but if we are having to use guys like Leary at RB, then we should set them up to succeed. It can also help Bryce with some presnap reads. I think Leary definitely has the speed to be an asset but i doubt he can give us much of anything as a pass blocker. But Bryce does love to throw to the backs so it might give us a little bit from that perspective too.

You don't need to be trying out new hands in these next two games. Just fair catch the ball and go from there.

He was my favorite recruit in last year's class. Hope he has more of a role moving forward. Elite athleticism.

He has a Curtis Samuel look to him. I hope that he gets involved with the offense more and more.

Game balls for Alabama vs. New Mexico State (BOL)

Christian Leary
Leary made a big play on special teams and also received his first handoffs from the running back position this season. The true freshman wide receiver blocked a New Mexico State punt early in the second quarter that was recovered by linebacker Jaylen Moody and set up the Crimson Tide’s third touchdown of the day. Leary also carried the football three times for 22 yards in the fourth quarter for the first offensive touches of his collegiate career.

I was thinking he has some juice as well. It would be cool to use him as that NFL style third down back. It seems he would be a heck of an asset in the passing game. Especially having him as a check down guy for BOB's long developing routes.

I posted this same thing on BOL earlier but use him like we were using Jase earlier in the season with the 2 HB set RPO. Fake the handoff to Brob and hit Leary in the flat or wheel route.

Honestly I'm surprised Slade didn't get any looks at RB, he plays wildcat so I would figure he would at least be in consideration to get touches

SB has no quickness or speed. No thanks. Might as well put Robbie O. at RB.
