just saying I read the latest on what happened. 2 weeks into his FB and college career. I may be a little older then some of you that post and this entitlement testerstone stuff irks me. I tend to believe more that the police acted appropriately then an 18 year old kid who thinks he is god's gift to sports.

If the TPD's statement is true,

Am I the only(23) year old "criminal" who realizes most of everything cops do is bullshite? I have stories for day from a simple arse DUI arrest. And if any of y'all would like to google what I'm talking about you can. Lakeland Florida's police department has seen a nice shakeup recently because they were finally caught being the pieces of shite who they were taught to be.

It sounds like they shouldn't have arrested him in the first place.

Your freaks want to see what a place looks like without law and order, look no further than Mogadishu, Somalia. I was with 1st Battalion, Seventh Marines on 12/11/92 when we landed in Somalia and I can tell you first hand, that place is literally, hell on earth. I know most of you on here are under 25 and a common mantra is all cops are crooked, dirty, not needed, whatever, and you all have opinions about it but the simple fact is, 90% or more of all cops are good people doing a much needed job. You can't have a land without laws or people to enforce those laws. It has never and will never work anywhere.

Seriously? Comparing Tuscaloosa to the MOG is a stretch.

That's not what I said at all. I don't think yelling at a cop deserves getting arrested.

Maintaining good order and discipline when dealing with an unruly group is tricky. Gaining control in a situation as described often requires securing (arresting) the lead vocalist of the group. When you consider the situation there were easily harsher charges that could have been filed.

I was not comparing the two; only pointing out what happens when you have no laws and no one to enforce them since the thread had taken your typical college kid stance against, establishment, laws and cops by a few people.

disobeying a lawful order multiple times kind of does though. TB was given the chance to walk away multiple times. The officer was just doing his job, TB decided to interfere and is now paying the consequences

Young kid, no one should mind this. His dad had a stroke at some point, right? Could have a lot of pent up stress he just let out. He'll be fine.

Yeah, I am not jumping to the conclusion that he is a bad kid. Hell, my first week living in Paty, me and some friends decided to smoke a couple of Js in a buddy's room. Probably would have gotten arrested but we smoked it all by the time the cops showed up. There was no evidence. We lucked out. 18 year olds do stupid shite, no doubt, but lets just hope that it ends here.

I think it will. The fact that Saban is letting him hang out with recruits the next day instead of putting him on lockdown makes me think Saban understands the situation and is going easy on him because of it.

Or Saban just hasn't decided what he's gonna do yet.

Oh, look! Another "I'll make a sweeping generalization that makes me look cool" statement.

Assuming the officer is telling the truth. The only thing we have to go by is the report he filed which of course will cover his arse no matter how it may of went down. Unless you are implying the police would never do anything wrong like to fabricate facts to support their side.

well which scenario is more likely and far more common to have happened. Cop fabricates entire story or kid at a party doesnt listen to cops?

There is one other account of what happened. As pointed out a couple pages ago, a woman at the apartment building sent a couple live tweets that, while severely lacking in detail, didn't exactly paint a rosy picture of the people who were arrested.

This isn't directed at the person I responded to.

I don't remember my first beer either.
I do remember when the cops were all bad guys and assholes. though.

Some of you young children need to grow up a bit. Regardless of anything mentioned here - TB was arrested because of his actions, not some dirty cop on the take.
