Even if Alabama wins out, all these frickers in front keep winning. Alabama needs some shite to happen the next two weeks... assuming Alabama takes care of business themselves...... someone slap me... I probably deserve it anyway .

I almost want to see it:
Undefeated Michigan, Washington, FSU
One loss Texas, Bama, Georgia, Ohio State.

They'd let in FSU knowing any of the next four would beat them

I think those teams win out unfortunately. Pac 12 refuse to let Huskies lose. pick poison with big 10. Fsu is an interesting case.

Florida State without Jordan Travis is not as formidable of a team. Someone in the Michigan-Ohio State game has to lose. If Alabama beats Georgia in Atlanta, that’s the best win in college football in the last two years. I seriously doubt the Committee keeps us out if we take care of business and win out.

With FSU QB out for the season I am not sure they win out and my guess is Washington jumps them this week due to him being out.

Here is the way I see it, and I hope I explain it well.

- Ohio State and Michigan will play, one will lose and I think the loser is eliminated from CFP contention because they can’t win the Big Ten. That frees up one spot in the Top 4.

- If both win next week, Washington and Oregon will play again in the Pac 12 title game. Either Washington will win and keep its spot in the Top 4, or Oregon will win and simply fill Washington’s spot in the Top 4. Oregon is obviously out of contention if they lose to Washington.

- If Alabama (assuming we win the Iron Bowl) beats Georgia, I believe Georgia is out of CFP contention. This frees up another Top 4 spot.

- At this point, we assume Ohio State or Michigan has won the Big Ten. They and Washington/Oregon have taken up two spots. Two spots remain.

- If FSU wins out, they are in. One spot in the CFP remains.

And then, in my opinion, it comes down to Alabama and Texas for that last spot. If Texas wins out, I believe they will get in because of the head to head win. Therefore, I believe the single most beneficial loss for Alabama would be a Texas loss over the next two weeks.

Definitely was hoping Texas and Washington would both drop games yesterday.

OSU and Mich will be one even if the loser were to stay ahead of us next week the loser would not be playing in their conference championship game which would give us the bump if we were to beat UGA. So there is one spot.

Assuming Oregon and Washington is a repeat in the PAC12 CG that should get us another spot over the loser in the poll.

FSU losing their QB for the season hopefully will cost them a game but a win for us over UGA may bump us ahead of them now if they slide this week.

Texas I know beat us in the TTown and with how UA is playing now makes that win for them even bigger but Texas does not look good and a big win over UGA could give us the jump over them.

The next 2 weeks is going to be fun and stressful for UA fans. But only need to worry about AU and UGA right now.

Good analysis. I just don't believe a 1 loss SEC champion is eliminated.

I believe you’re wrong about Oregon.

Let’s say only Oregon beats Washington and everyone else wins out.

Bama would have a win against #1 UGA, a loss against #3 Texas, better SOS, and more ranked wins.

Oregon would have best win against #4 or 5 Wash, a loss to the same, 60 something SOS, and less ranked wins.

I think it looks like this in that scenario

Big 10
FSU
Texas
Bama

That’s with the minimum help.

I just don't see a way in after last night. After OSU and ISU shite the bed there are just too many variables that have to happen.

This is why you don't fricking lose to a lower ranked team at home.

No the lesson in the 4 team era is that you don’t play ultra elite teams because the committee only cares about record.

Michigan, UGA, UW and Oregon all played no one and are being rewarded for it.

Bama plays their schedule and they’d be undefeated without a question.

This is like a F1 race at Monaco...Bama has the car to win it but there is no room to pass.

Whoever is #1 going into conf championships is guaranteed a spot. A #1 isn't falling past 4. #2 could fall to 5 if they lose in Conf Champ so if UGa is #1 heading to ATL and Bama wins then UGa is still in. The winner of OSU or Mich will be in ( must likely because I don't see them beating Iowa) so that leaves 2 spots. and Bama has to pass 5 teams for 2;spots

Unfortunately we’re in a really tough spot due to the first rankings having Oregon as the top one loss team, and now they have to stick to their guns. Winner of P12 championship is in regardless at this point. FSU is in a tough spot but their game against UF just got easier with Mertz injured and they out-talent Louisville in a big way.

B10 champ
P12 champ
Texas if they win out

Right now, we need conference game.. and Bama needs to continue to blow the teams out going forward. If we beat Auburn by 20, 30 points... they have to notice it. THen we need to beat Georgia and win by 10 or more points to make statement.

Just win the games we control.

The rest will take care of itself.

If we don't make the CFP at least we will have restored order to the conference and ended Georgia's run.

We'd still get in though.
