So I know it's a bit ridiculous to complain about anything but I'm just a tad sad that Damien probably won't have that great of a season. Not because of his ability but because the offense is giving everybody touches. He barely has to touch the ball. 1000 yards is looking a bit tough this season. But do you guys think he makes it? 3 straight 1000 yard seasons would be quite the accomplishment.

I'm sure he's wanting it, but if he can make it out of the season in great health, it's for the better

Probably not, but damn he is good carrying the ball. I love his conviction and decisiveness hitting the lane. He will have a good long career at the next level.

Rooting for Damien. He is a helluva running back.Tough and talented. Gets every ounce out of each carry. Lets hope he and Najee both hit a 1000yds.

It doesn't seem like we're going to meet enough resistance for Damien to get there. I mean we just aren't going to give him carries in the second half of these blowouts. However, he could still get there. Think about this...

Right now, at his current pace of 59 yards per game, he is on pace for 850 yards if we play in 15 games. To get to 1,000 yards, he'll need to average 68.5 yards per game over the remaining 12 games. That, to me, seems pretty doable. I just have a feeling he's going to have a couple of 150+ yard games based on busting a couple long runs.

We'll see. I think Texas A&M next week will provide enough resistance for him to be touching the ball well into the third quarter (although I hope they don't ).

With our schedule, a lot more of these games are very likely blowouts so he won’t play a ton. He can do it but he has to break out a really long run almost every game.

Not sure why you're getting slammed with downvotes (although Damien may be the most underrated back we've had in the Saban era), but I agree I would love to see him hit 1k for third straight season.

It won't be easy keeping him in with blowouts though, as others have said.

Maybe.. but I'm sure the last person crying about it is Damien Harris.

Running Backs have a shorter career span than most positions, coming to Alabama and starting has not only locked him in to the first 2 rounds at least, but also saved him a lot of wear and tear than running backs of that caliber usually accumulate in college.

Assuming he's not a pro bust, whatever team lands him has a guy to build around for the future.

His pass protection is what to me is worth ever bit of 1000yds.

Keep in mind that we have a 15 game season if everything stays on pace. Plus we are looking at some limp r u defenses coming up a couple of 100 yard halves (not games ) and he will be on pace.
