Probably some intern or GA voted for him, but it's going on the bulletin board regardless

He and the committee know what he'd do to tOSU and they all so know that Bama is a one score game either way

I would have as well. I mean really, who would you want to face, an OSU team that you beat the brakes off or a Bama team looking for revenge of losing on the last play.

I mean, it's not like he voted Northwestern #4. You can make a very reasonable argument for Ohio State #4.

Well his vote has no effect on who makes it to the playoff.

But it's bulletin board material I suppose, so I guess we should thank him.

Dabo isn't on the playoff selection committee. He didn't vote anyone in or out.

you could also make a very reasonable argument for his alma mater at number 4. I understand why he did it. He didn't want to play us.

Certainly possible - though I wouldn't say "didn't want to play us". I'd say saw us as the tougher option.

I doubt that Dabo or his players are scared at all of us or anyone else. That's their program mentality.

Didn’t the coaches poll come out after the committee announced?

If so, this tells me Dabo wasn’t trying to influence anything.

I doubt it influenced anyone no matter when it came out on Sunday.

I know it had no effect on CFP. But if you're Clemson and playing in the ACC, you want to promote any message that conference championships matter. They're more likely to win a conference championship than have to sit and wait.

If it meant my team could play Ohio State instead of Alabama, I would have voted tOSU #1.

As a coach, there's really no upside to participating in this poll anymore. It means nothing.

Maybe he did it to influence the committee in future years in some way. Maybe his reasoning was to reward conference champs, and in his mind a 2 loss champ trumps a 1 loss non-champ.

Anyone see if he had PSU above OSU last year going into the playoffs?
