Could Johnson be charged for shooting into an occupied vehicle?

According to some of the new information released Miller and an unknown person is in Miller's vehicle facing away from anything going on. The Jeep pulls up behind them. The shooting starts and two bullets strike Miller's car.
If Johnson turns out to be the aggressor or even if not shouldn't charges against him be made?

If he turns out to be the aggressor, yes.
Having said that, remember the same evidence that let the DA/LE very quickly say with certainty Brandon Miller was innocent of wrongdoing is driving the charging decisions of the others involved.

Eh. A super drunk guy that you had an argument with 5 minutes ago was approaching your vehicle with a firearm. That’s a layup self defense argument

This is part of what I'm referring to as far as new info.

Let me put it another way.
Miller is struck by one of the bullets and dies.
Johnson is then certainly civilly liable without a doubt. And since Miller has already been found to not be guilty of a crime, Johnson should/would be criminally charged.

In Alabama, if you are found to have used deadly force in self defense you are immune from criminal and civil liability.

Given that the guy was able to fire and hit Davis twice, it is clear that he had a gun at his ready. It also appears that the Johnson guy in the Jeep was acting aggressively. Driving around headlights off is something that folks with any familiarity with the hood and gang related behavior would recognize as a red-flag.

Very true. Capital murder is definitely a reach in this case. This guy got rid of the weapon he was shooting because he knew he had something to hide. Tuscaloosa police and the DA office may have jumped the gun.

Do not trust any media reports either way. Wait for the actual, real evidence to come out at trial. That goes for reports that appear to favor either side.

Johnson is the father of Jamea Harris’ baby. He skipped the hearing and apparently nobody knows where he is right now.
Amazing how that isn’t brought up. Pretty suspicious and I guess raising that point throws a wrench into the media’s narrative.

Wow...I sure hope all of the video is released. It sounds as though the lead investigator didn't do a thorough job. Doesn't know who was the passenger in Miller's car??
