This. Boz and Saint, let’s get on it. Saint’s been a little loose with board access recently.

For real, can we at least check the posting history to see if this person is an actual Bama fan?

I don’t mind other fans posting here as long as they’re not trolling.

I've been as vocal as anyone in criticizing Wommack, but I have to give him credit. Our last two wins have been total team wins, and the defense has noticeably improved from the start of the season. In fact other than the FSU game when the entire team showed up flat and disinterested, the defense has played pretty well. Our rushing defense looks worse by the numbers than it actually is because we've played so many teams that live off their running games. You really can't give Wommack anything lower than a C for this season so far, and I think an argument could be made to bump him up to a B.

Grubb gets an A-, and he doesn't get a perfect score only because his playcalls can get too cute for his own good when we have to pick up short yardage. He has worked wonders with Simpson, and he clearly understands what the strength of his offense is (Simpson and the receiving corps) while not neglecting the running game. Early returns say he is the best OC we've had since Sarkisian.

I don't care if he's a Bama fan. My problem with this specific poster is he joined the board with a white supremacist, antisemitic, and racist username and when he rightly got called out on it he laughably tried the old "don't assume my political views" nonsense.

Grubb

A-

Mainly: Ty Simpson looks great and many just assume he would have always been this comfortable making quick reads and not that Grubb has worked with him to where he's a whole lot better now than he would have been last season.

Wommack
C

Not certain that his scheme can't work since it has against Georgia and Vandy to where the offense was just as much responsible for close games as the defense.

However, he's certainly had issues getting his defensive backfield to understand where they need to be.

Wommack has been stubborn as hell at times, but just maybe some of the shite you are wanting to throw at him can be directed towards the development or lack thereof of DL and LB coaches. Wommack can make the calls all day, but in the end, the guys have to make their proper run fits and be consistent when setting the edges.
Grubb- are you even watching the same games? How many other OCs have plays that call for a 6’7 360lb OT to run the damn ball? How about even going in motion? Couple weeks back, Proctor did just that but a pre snap penalty killed another potential play using his athleticism. I will say that I thought Grubb got a way from the run against Vandy in the 3rd quarter and relied on Ty a little too much. RBs Jam and Riley had two carries in the 3rd. It may have been by design because we saw 10+ play drives that were run heavy or all runs in the 4th that killed Vandy’s will and iced the game.

I mean i gave Grubb a B+ which isn't far off from the A- a lot of folks are giving him.

I just don't think I've seen our offense really look smooth for a full game at any point this season apart from against ULM. Georgia was nicely done, but he had an extra week to gameplan.

People who are convinced he's better than Sheridan, I don't think we can know that considering Sheridan had Milroe to work with...

I think they're both good coordinators. All I said was I wouldn't be worried if Grubb left and Sheridan took the reins again.

Hate to say it but we got lucky Vanderbilt turned it over twice in the redzone.

So it was luck that the DB baited Pavia and jumped the route for that pick?

No way that could have been scheme and coaching? Just dumb luck.

Vanderbilt's offense had our number all day.

LOL Wut?

Vandy had a whopping 22 yards rushing, did not score, and crossed midfield once in the second half.

You're either totally clueless or a really bad troll.

this is so freakin weird. ive went from just shaking my head at watching proctor give up sacks and pressures to hoping they give him the ball on shot yardage and he breaks off a 60 yard td run. ok, maybe 40 yard, but you get the picture, lol.

Womack is a C at best. Too many big plays. For example: Vandy ripping of a 65 yard touchdown off tackle. And don’t worry about what people say. Your opinion is your opinion. As of now we still have free speech.

I dont put that on the DC as much as the players. Somebody was in the wrong gap. And they did a really good job of cleaning that up.

My biggest gripe with Wommack was the damn shovel pass kept gashing us like last year. Other than that, i was not bothered by anything i saw from the defense. Those DL got after it and that is what i have been looking for the last two games.
