Alabama and Clemson are the only programs that are truly recruiting coast to coast consistently competing for top 10 recruits in each state.
LSU recruits mainly Southeast, and they always have.
Clemson is the bigger threat nationally. Casual CFB fans know Alabama and Clemson.

Actually, we are living in the best timeline ever for college football fans. The dynasty Alabama has been on is the best since the Ivy League teams were playing rugby type football. Till another program wins 5 national titles in 9 years, this will be unprecedented since that time.
If Clemson wins this year I think they are the best team right now, today, but next year we'll get a chance to prove we are better.

I think he meant specifically this season. This season could’ve definitely been worse though so not worst case scenario.
BUT literally any ranked team outside of LSU, Clemson, and AU would’ve been ok.

It might just be me, but Clemson does not bother me at all. I respect what Dabo is doing there and have no problem with him... I can’t “root” for LSU ever, for a team that has finally beat us this year, they might be more annoying than any fanbase ever.

Besides hurting us in recruiting and hearing about their new dynasty replacing ours, it pisses me off that they get to play in that garbage ACC.

To be honest I think Saban and staff view Orgeron the same way most fans do...kind of a clown. I don't think they take him seriously. Probably somewhat amused by him.
I recall the UT Wildboys...the story of when Kiffin was there. They were hosting recruits and Orgeron was trying to hype them up...rips off his shirt yelling "UT wildboys! UT Wildboys!" *podium falls over*awkward silence*
Orgeron just seems he's in over his head and it'll end badly. He's not really building a program like Bama or Clemson. He'll jump up every few years and be a threat but otherwise a career 9-3 HC.
He got lucky this year, but nothing shows that he can sustain it past Burrow and Brady. Just like Dabo, he will lose it once assistants start turning over. Dabo has been lucky to keep his staff together, but neither will be able to handle turnover like Saban.

Clemson all day! I would much rather our future HC get another championship than Farmer Fran win one. That will be good for recruiting in a few years.

This is a fact most people forget. No matter what this LSU team does next year winning a championship will help them a ton in recruiting in 2020.

It’s win win from my point of view. If LSU beats Clemson it will tamper down any “dynasty” talk. If Clemson wins, it’ll be funny watching Clemson fans troll LSU on this site. Either is fine with me.

An LSU win salvages Bama’s dynasty claim for another season.
But I would love to see the LSU melt and gnashing of teeth because of all the Clemson dick riding they have done for the past year.
Tough call.
The only way to make this shittier would be to somehow throw Auburn into the hunt.

Not that I plan on watching, but a gun to my head LSU. Sure, they might win a few more recruit battles over the next year or so, but that doesn’t translate into national championships i.e. Georgia.
Clemson will try and claim that they are the next dynasty. So, a loss to a SEC team would put down that thought. Besides, as much as a I can’t stand Dabo...he can recruit.

I will watch the game since it's the natty and the last college game until August. However, I refuse to root for either of these teams with wretched fan bases that have no idea how to win with class. They can kill each other for all I care. I'm definitely rooting for the meteor.
Having said that, my gut tells me LSU is going to bitch slap Clemson like Clemson did Bama last year.
