Nick Saban to @PatMcAfeeShow on Kalen DeBoer: "I think he’s doing a really good job. Do I think it’s an easy job? Hell no. This league is a tough league. Recruiting is tough. This culture that we have now where people are going all over the country based on the new economic situation players have makes it even more difficult. But I have a tremendous amount of respect and admiration for him to take on that challenge and embrace that challenge and try to work through it and build something special at Alabama. I’ve always been very supportive of him and I’m hopeful that – they’re flying a little bit under the radar in terms of the kind of team they have and what they lost and what they have to replace -- but I’m hoping that they do well and he comes out of this on top."

Saw where Carson Beck signed his NFL contract recently as well.
4 years for $7.4 million.
He made $8 million at Miami last year.

Anyone who isn’t a first round pick is basically better off in CFB right now, it’s insane and completely unsustainable.

You're right although I thought Miami wildly over paid for him last year. They ignored his tendency to have back breaking turnovers at the absolute worst possible times.

I'll be honest, I would have guessed they didn't even play competitive high school football in Delaware. He'd have to be the first player in program history from the state.

Everyone who doesn’t or can’t develop QBs in-house has to pay the idiot tax in the portal.
I’d argue the only two guys doing it efficiently were Kiffin at Ole Miss and Elko at Duke and everyone else ends up paying about 2x vs their ROI.
It’s actually one of the primary advantages DeBoer has right now in that he can ID and develop guys rather than needing boosters to bail out what the coaches couldn’t get done in-house which lets them spend more at other positions.

A dynamic game wrecking
edge rusher
, Tysir has a great frame at 6'3"+ and 220lbs. He will easily add on more good muscle to his build in the upcoming years. Overall Tysir looks the part and plays the part as he totaled 88.5 tkls, 14.5 sacks, 13 TFLs and 2 FFs in 2025.
Pretty good stats for a sophomore from Delaware !!?????

Huh. Never would have guessed. Is there a state we've never signed anyone from? Alaska or Vermont maybe?
