Right he’s originally from Alabama but he’s been in Indiana for years and he’s a kid. He’s got friends there and more recent memories about IU’s magical run. People act like this is as if Mike Shula signed Tim Tebow. C’mon y’all. Get a grip.

When we lost to Vandy in 2024 and got stuffed in a locker by Indiana in 2025, that broke the spell of the Saban era Alabama mystique.

You're over thinking this. Indiana paid him more. Plain and simple. They have a billionaire booster funding their NIL. We don't.

I am responding to people making a big deal that he’s got some Alabama memorabilia or whatever.

I honestly thing that analysts are lying. Saying we are competitive with these recruits NIL wise. No way we are competitive but miss out on every highly rated recruit.

Deboer has signed two top three classes. You don’t think that took a large NIL commitment?

Not this cycle. No way they are competitive to home state kids that are going elsewhere...(not sales) that were previously committed to Bama. By competitive is it 500k within the top bidder? That's what I'd like to know.

I think we were a distant third and the only “recruiting analyst ploy” was playing up the Alabama angle because we drive clicks. Texas was probably the only one in the fight for real and I doubt Indiana out-spent Texas on a 5-star to be quite honest. By all accounts, IU’s spend on their roster was near our own in 2025. Maybe it grew substantially but I doubt it.

Look at next year’s class already having a lot of shape to it and figure it out. lol.

The only issue is the risk we have a 2024 FSU season and it falls apart. And DeBoer has been good at churning out 9-10 wins a year on average. So it’s just a back of the mind risk not as forefront worry to fret over.

We better hope your scout of our offense is closer to the truth than EA Sport’s scout because it is a slog trying to move the ball with our team. Been playing a free trial of it in the evening this week. I am not elite on the stick anymore but I do alright in these games usually and had no problems when I sanity checked with some other top teams.

However, our defense is very good for this type of game. Secondary is good at PBUs and interceptions.

You may have been there but your take is contrary to all that I’ve heard, including some professionals. But most importantly the players who have commented, including RW, have been universal in their high praise of KR, saying things like, “the game is so easy with KR”, “KR make playing football like a video game”, etc.

Watching his HS tape, and his brief appearances in a couple of games, his meteoric rise to the highest graded recruit in Alabama’s incomparable history, as well as A-Day, all scream “special talent”, “magical talent”. All seem to agree with what was seen at A-Day. My eyes, the eyes of people I trust, the eyes of the entire recruiting industry, most of whom resent having to say anything positive about Alabama, the professionals covering the team, the players, they all say the same thing.

You, an anonymous and little known poster who’s been on the board a few months, are the only dissident voice. Who would you believe?

EA Sports is just riding the hate Alabama train.

Our defense CAN be elite if we get pressure up front. The back end is the best in football.

Offensive line play is the ONLY question mark imo.

DeBoer has proved time and time again that he can produce with lower rated players offensively, but he requires HIS type of player.

Look at who just signed Nike deals on the team. Every one of them is a top starter on the team then it also includes Ced, Crowell, and Keelon. There is massive hype about these 3 guys within the building.

No, we wont blow people out like we did with Saban. Those days are gone.... but we do have some elite offensive players now that we haven't had in some time. Crowell is going to give you all the fuzzies.

Ced and Crowell are Bama boys man.

I'm ready for fall camp to start so some news will leak to calm down the crying around here

Do yourselves a favor and watch some highlights or something of Ced. The dude's QB just literally throws the ball up half the time and he makes insane toe touching catches on the sideline and in the back of the endzone. He made a prothro catch on someone's back. The dude is going to be a phenom paired with Keelon.

Saw someone say we were competitive in NIL with Sales. Excuse me for talking about it. Don't know what I was thinking.

No I wasn't. But then again neither were you. The 4th string freshman outplaying Keelon in spring scrimmages 100% would have leaked out and been national news. It didn't because you're full of shite.

If you watch HS video of Russell and Kaawa, it’s pretty obvious which is the more polished (Russell). Don’t get me wrong, Kaawa is a big dude, has a big arm on him and can make some really nice throws, but the level of competition is radically different.

Russell played at Duncanville, which is a powerhouse program and playing at (I think) the highest level of competition in the Dallas metro area. YUUUUUGE difference between that competition and what Kaawa faced.
