I just believe strongly that the QB can't be gay because that's just bad smear-the-queer juju

Jesus, we're whffing on guys who are just OK and will probably never amount to much. Yes, I get it, we're focusing on keeping the last couple of recruiting classes on board and we're going to have a smaller class this year
but that doesn't or shouldn't mean we're settling for guys who would be more likely to start at Jax State or Georgia Southern. Other than Seaborn and Haven, this is looking like one of the worst recruiting classes since the Mike Shula days when we were absolutely crippled by sanctions.

I get the sense this kid going with Texas is comparable to Coach Bryant's days in the 1960s when he would sign a guy that he didn't think was all that good but wanted to make sure some other school didn't sign him just in case he by some weird circumstance does turn out to be pretty good.

I can't understand why Debeor is spending so much NIL stacking 2 highly rated quarterbacks each class, yet not recruiting the linemen to protect them. Then on defense they are stacking 5 star CB's behind 2/3 defensive linemen....the Tuberville/Malzahan recruiting diamonds in the rough in the trenches will get him a nice buyout in 3 years though.

How many college level rosters have you put together?

We have 14 OL on scholarship and all 14 could return in 27. There 2 5* OL in state next year with a deep OL class in state overall. The '27 in state overall is epic

Because attrition at QB is going to happen and he'd rather be in a position of having multiple guys he picked compete in front of him than roll the dice on an endless parade of 1 year rentals from the portal.

Carroll, Lloyd, and Haywood were all 5* recruits, Cooley, Sanders, Waldrep, and Booker were all 4* recruits. All these guys were recruited by numerous other major programs.

DL recruiting has certainly been a bit of a weak spot. No argument there. We're doing fine with off ball LBs and edge rushers though.

Gus wasn't a bad recruiter. He couldn't develop players worth a frick though. They either hit the ground running or never did shite. Absolutely nothing about DeBoer's recruiting is similar to Tuberville's lazy arse. Especially the post-Jetgate/People's Champion version.

None but it doesn’t take a genius to see we appear to be broke.

People just acting like DeBoer didn't sign two elite HS classes on his own and held most of Saban's last class together when he took over in January.

I happen to think we're holding onto the cash allotment to fill gaps in the transfer portal this Winter.

What happens when some of the big money schools outbid us for all of those best players?

I guess it’s possible but I hope we’re not relying solely on the portal while whiffing almost entirely on good HS players.

It’s not a deep class so everyone is paying premiums to land the few quality prospect. We gathered depth in the prior two classes. I’ll be concerned if we aren’t a transfer portal player either and this continues into 2028 class.

Same. There is nothing really concerning about our roster situation unless we have back to back classes full of these kind of long term developmental signings, start struggling to retain the guys we want, and aren't active in the portal. Saban style roster construction just isn't realistic anymore. Stacking maximum talent every single class either means spending huge money on guys who don't play or constantly losing your backups to the portal.

Looking at everything I have read from multiple sources , we are top ten in NIL . We have signed two great classes . Do we have as much as the Texas schools? No. Nor do we have a billionaire donor buying our team. Some schools like Ole Miss (under Lane) and Indiana were strictly portal teams and it worked . I think us and UGA prefer the blended model and rely more on HS players and a few transfers . KD said this would be a small class and trying to retain the talent we have acquired the last two years . We will be fine . Back off the ledge guys

Yall need to realize our roster youth is affecting the recruiting class.

In today's game kids arent going to ride pine anymore. We have a lot of sophomores and highly touted freshman getting PT.

I think that's why we dont have a bunch of high 4 and 5 stars signing up for next season. I expect next year's class to stack up nicely.

Other schools have loaded their rosters with junior and senior transfers. LSU for example has multiple JR and SR projected starters offensively. We have 0 seniors projected to start offensively.

In fact we have 8 sophomores to only 4 projected starting seniors total. And I expect to see at least 3 freshman play regularly.

We will be one of the youngest teams in collge football.

Thanks for bringing a bit of logical reasoning to those questions!
