I hope we go after him, too.
His film is from his Sophomore year (that I can find) and he is explosive.

Between all the school hopping, being committed to Oregon, moving this time because apparently fricking Galu is his agent, and Miami being the program who pushed for that to happen I'm going to assume either this kid cares about one thing and one thing only or one of his parents does. That doesn't seem to be the type we have been trying to sign.

His parents have robbed him of childhood friendships and probably a good fundamental education to chase athletics dollars. I hope he gets to a 2nd contract in the NFL because more than likely he's boned when it comes to adult life otherwise.

No idea - was planning on learning that myself once someone replied.
ETA: I think I read somewhere that ND was/is the favorite, but i'm not positive.

I was watching a You Tube “Waaaay Offsides” and he implied while ND was supposedly the favorite, he might be reconsidering Bama. Maybe?
The reason Virginia Tech is in there is he’s originally from King George County, VA in eastern Virginia. I know it well, my kids used to go there for track meets years ago. Very rural. However, while it’d be easier for family and friends to see him play in Blacksburg, I just don’t see them as a legit player for his services. VT is a very weak NIL school, he wouldn’t get near the TV exposure that he would at Bama or ND and he wouldn’t get the development that he would get at Bama or ND.

Forget the nickname
You don’t just gloss over his actual name being “Sirpaul Cheeks”
Sounds like a ranter’s username lol

Is it just the angle of the picture or is Stroud on the Zion diet?

Steve Wiltfong is saying Kaawa's announcement has been pushed back a day. He will announce tomorrow.

One last push for the biggest bag? .... and if you have a promising player I hope we keep him over those just wanting the best deal. I can't blame the kid or family, it is what it is but I'd like to see a TEAM playing to win rather than a kid wanting a starting spot guaranteed plus a big bag.
Don't get me wrong, because it's on the coaches to motivate a TEAM.
Bama is always gonna get a teams best punch......so the coaches better make em know what's up.
.......and damn I'd love to have a kick arse run game, but too me a teams motivation shows on defense if they are not ready to win a hard fougt game....sorry to mess up the recruiting thread...just got a bit too excited.

No.
I believe there was a logistical issue with his school and getting everything set up on short notice.

Love what CKD/Grubb is doing with the QB room. Talent, Height, Leadership with every guy they bring in.

Gotta get the bodies in when you can. QB rooms are quite volatile these days.

If 105 roster limit is happening, I suspect that teams will start carrying many more QBs now. It has always been a position where you can get screwed up on depth because with tighter numbers you're signing nothing but elite prospects. The elite prospects want to play ASAP and will not often stick around. If you're going to be running with 6-8 QBs on roster, you can afford to take some flyers on projects who need development.
